Men's Results
Wayne, Neb. - Augustana won its sixth straight NSIC / US Bank Men's Cross Country Championship as the Vikings scored 22 teams points after placing five runners in the top seven. Leading the way for the Vikings was Harald Karbo, who placed second overall in the 8,000-meter race with a time of 25:15.23.
Sioux Falls' Robert Brockmueller became the school’s first-ever individual NSIC cross country champion as he led the Cougars to a second place finish. He traversed the course in 25:11.17 to take the 8K title. Junior Matt Horan was fifth (25:20.06) while senior Billy Brockmueller was ninth (25:34.12) for the Cougars.
For the Vikings, Adam Braun placed third with a time of 25:15.80 and TJ Gleason delivered a fourth-place finish clocking a time of 25:17.26. Keegan Carda delivered a sixth-place finish with a time of 25:26.51 and was followed closely behind by John Klecker, who placed seventh, clocking a time of 25:26.83.
Augustana freshman Nick Larsen was named NSIC Newcomer of the Year after his 14th place finish. He was the top finisher competing in their first year of NSIC. The Vikings' Head Coach Tracy Hellman was voted by his peers as the NSIC Coach of Year for the sixth straight season.
