North Division

Banasik averaged 17.5 points, 9.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 3.0 steals per game to help Dragons go 2-0 at home last weekend. The two wins put the Dragons two games over .500 for first time this season and in sole possession of second place in the NSIC North Standings. Banasik shot 55 percent (11-of-20) from the field, including 45.5 percent (5-of-11) from three-point range for the week. She had 15 points and eight rebounds in 68-63 win over Minnesota Crookston on Friday to go with two assists and two steals. She recorded her second career double-double with 20 points (tying a career-high) and 10 rebounds in 94-74 win over Bemidji State on Saturday. The win on Saturday also gave Dragon’s Head Coach Karla Nelson her 250th career victory.

Ashley helped lead the Vikings to a 2-0 record, its first weekend sweep of 2015, against NSIC South Division foes Winona State and Upper Iowa.  Ashley put up a game-high 27 points in a 74-71 win over Winona State at the Sioux Falls Arena on Friday night. She was 8-of-15 from the floor, which included going a perfect 11-of-11 from the foul line. She also added four rebounds and six assists in 37 minutes of action. She then turned in an 18-point, five-rebound, four-assist performance in an 87-65 victory against Upper Iowa on Saturday. For the weekend, Ashley finished with an NSIC high 22.5 points per game to go with 4.5 rebounds and 5.0 assists. She also shot a terrific 93.8 percent from the charity stripe (15-of-16). This marks the fifth time this season Ashley has been named NSIC Player of the Week (11/17, 11/24, 12/15, 12/22).
