Strese’s strong all-around weekend helped MSU Moorhead to a 2-0 mark at home. She had 24 points, tying a career-high, while adding a career-high 14 rebounds in a 71-67 win over Upper Iowa on Friday. She followed with 15 points and seven rebounds in the Dragons’ 80-54 win over Winona State on Saturday. For the week Strese averaged 19.5 points and 10.5 rebounds per game while shooting 53.3 percent from the field. Strese is averaging 11.4 points and 7.3 rebounds per game this season for MSUM.

Kearney led Concordia-St. Paul with 19.5 points per game as the Golden Bears went 2-0 on the weekend with wins over UMD and #21 St. Cloud State. She hit 44.0 percent (11-25) from the floor and 50.0 percent (3-6) from three point range along with averaging six assists and five rebounds per game. Her top performance of the weekend came when she scored a season-high 22 points while playing the entire game in an 83-80 win over SCSU. Kearney is second on the team with 13.6 points per game on the season while adding 3.2 rebounds and 3.2 assists.
