Ashland, Neb. (Quarry Oaks Golf Course - Par 71 - 6867 yards) – St. Cloud State fired off a third round score of 305 to vault back into the lead of the NSIC/US Bank Men’ Golf Championships following the third round.  The two-time defending champions, which came into the round six strokes behind Augustana, now hold a three stroke lead over the Vikings headed into the final round on Sunday morning.  After the third round the Huskies sit at 897 (+45) for the championship.

Augustana finished the third round with at 314 and is tied with Winona State, which shot a 303 on Saturday, to move up from fourth to a tie for second at 900 (+48).  The Warriors Mitch Holm shot a third round 74 to sit atop the leaderboard at 217 (+4) for the championship, two strokes ahead of Minot State’s Kowan O’Keefe, who vaulted from tenth to second place thanks to a third round score of 71.  Augustana’s Tyler Jensvold and Minnesota State’s Kelton Schmitz are tied for third at 222 (+9) for the championship.

The final 18 holes of the 72 hole championship will begin Sunday morning at 9 a.m. with a shotgun start.

The winner of the NSIC/US Bank Men's Golf Championship will earn an automatic bid to the NCAA Central/Midwest Regional Tournament. Minnesota State is ranked fourth in the second NCAA Men's Golf regional rankings of the season. Central Missouri remains the top ranked team while Central Oklahoma and Arkansas Tech remain second and third in the region. MSU and Southwestern Oklahoma State round out the top five.

The entire field for the NCAA Men's Golf Championships will be announced Friday, April 24 at 3 p.m. on NCAA.com.  The top 10 teams (including automatic qualifiers) and four individuals not on those teams from each of the eight regions will compete in the NCAA Super Regionals. 

The NCAA Central/Midwest Regional will be played at Cog Hill Golf and Country Club in Lemont, Illinois on May 4-6.  The NCAA Championships will be held May 18-22 at Rock Barn Golf & Spa in Conover, N.C.
