NSIC Offensive Player of the Week
#12 Jake Hodge (QB, 6-0, 200, Sr., Kasson, Minn. / Kasson-Mantorville HS) - MSU Moorhead
- Was 13-of-22 passing for 217 yards and five touchdowns in a 42-17 win over Winona State
- Rushed for 92 yards on 16 attempts with a long of 17 yards
- Led Dragons to first win over Winona State since Nov. 3, 1996, ending a 14-game losing streak
- Led MSUM to first season opening win since 2003 season

NSIC Defensive Player of the Week
#37 Alex Wahl (LB, 6-2, 235, R-Sr., Elgin, Ill. / Larkin HS) - Upper Iowa
- Led UIU to a 17-6 win versus NSU, holding the Wolves to just 235 yards
- Led team with 10 tackles, seven of which were solo
- Had an NSIC high 3 tackles for loss and one sack
- Had an interception late in the fourth quarter to help seal the victory

NSIC Special Teams Player of the Week
#3 Jason Greenway (WR/KR, 5-9, 203, Sr., Mitchell, S.D. / Mitchell HS) - Augustana
- Set a school record with a 100-yard kickoff return for a touchdown in Saturday night’s 35-14 win over Bemidji State
- Returned two kicks for 119 yards and a score
- Broke the school record that stood since 1993 with the 100-yard kick return
- Returned the first kick for a touchdown at Augustana since Grant Gebhardt returned one for a score on Nov. 3, 2012 against Winona State

- Augustana is back in action Saturday in its home opener, taking on St. Cloud State at 1 p.m. at Kirkeby-Over Stadium
- Augustana and St. Cloud State last met on Sept. 28, 2013, a 31-6 victory by the Huskies in St. Cloud
- Saturday will be the 36th meeting between the Vikings and the Huskies
- St. Cloud State leads the all-time series 21-14
- Jordan Hein (QB, 6-2, 220, So., Perham, Minn.) led the Beavers with 201 passing yards and 75 rushing yards, and scored two touchdowns
- Hein is first Beaver to score at least two touchdowns in back-to-back season openers since 2008
- Kameel Al-Khouri (Jr, 6-0, 190, Glendale, Ariz.) recorded seven total tackles, two solo and five assisted, with one interception
- Brad Birchfield (WR, 5-11, 176, Fr.-RS, South Elgin, Ill.) ran back one kick return for 62 yards to set up first touchdown drive for BSU
- Concordia fell 28-10 at St. Cloud State despite out-gaining the Huskies in total offense, first downs and time of possession

- Senior inside linebacker Jordan Halverson had 11 tackles, becoming the fifth player in program history to reach 300 career tackles

- Wide receiver Triston Richert had an outstanding debut with four receptions for 86 yards including a 29-yard touchdown
- The Golden Eagles will open up play at home Sat., Sept. 12 as they take on No. 15 University of Sioux Falls
- UMD will make its 2015 home debut this Saturday night with an NSIC interdivision clash against Wayne State
- The Bulldogs have rolled up a sizzling 44-3 mark at home since 2008
- The Bulldogs will enter Saturday’s bout against the Wildcats riding an 11-game home winning streak
- The defending NSIC co-champion Bulldogs are 0-1 for the first time since 1999 after 20-17 loss at No. 1 MSU
- UMD is 24-4 over the past three seasons and three loses have come at the hands of Minnesota State
- In last home meeting with WSC, the Bulldogs cruised to a 42-10 triumph to run its all-time home record over the Wildcats to 5-0
- Last Thursday’s setback to MSU put the clamps on UMD’s 19-game regular season winning streak -  the third longest of its kind in program history
- MSU has now won 34 consecutive NSIC games dating back to week one of the 2012 season

- Christian McAlvain led the Wolves with 75 yards passing and 53 yards rushing

- Senior Devin Olson led the NSU defense with 15 tackles, 2.5 tackles for a loss of 34 yards, and one forced fumble
- The Wolves will host No. 1 Minnesota State in the home opener next Saturday at 6 p.m. from Swisher Field
- USF (1-0, 1-0 NSIC), which has won four straight, face Minnesota Crookston (0-1, 0-1 NSIC) at 1 p.m. on Saturday in Crookston
- In the first-ever and only meeting between USF and UMC, the Cougars recorded a 52-7 win at Bob Young Field
- USF has won 13-of-14 games with every victory by double digit margin and 10 of 13 wins by 20 points or more
- Cougars recorded 518 yards in total offense, which is the third straight 500 yard total offense game dating to last year
- In games in the DII era with 500 yards in total offense, the Cougars are 11-1
- When USF has scored 50 or more points in a game, they are 63-0 all-time
-The victory was SMSU’s first season opening win since 2010
-SMSU sophomore quarterback Blake Gimbel made his first career start in the road victory
-SMSU junior wide receiver Ty Steffensen recorded his first career touchdown reception in the win
- Caleb Leichtnam (S, 6-0, 186, Jr., Grand Meadow, Minn.) led the team with 12 tackles, including a game-high eight solo stops
- Davontay Stevens (RB, 5-8, 202, Sr., Jacksonville, Fla.) rushed for a career-high 164 yards and one touchdown on 27 carries
- The Huskies opened their 2015 season with a 28-10 victory over Concordia-St. Paul on Sept. 3 at Husky Stadium
- SCSU will continue its 2015 season on Sept. 12 with a 1 p.m. game at Augustana University in Sioux Falls, S.D.
- SCSU defensive back Keyshawn Davis had a pair of fumble recoveries and a pass interception
- Senior Ledell White and sophomore Jaden Huff each had two rushing TDs apiece in the victory over CSP
- Senior Jordan Sefon led the Huskies on defense with 10 tackles while Brady Westart and Craig Szymanski each had 1.5 sacks

- The Peacocks are now 10-3 over their last 13 games against NSIC North Division foes after a 17-6 win over NSU
- UIU outgained NSU in total offense 419 to 235 and in first downs 24 to 12
- Jarred Edmonds pulled in 7 catches for 105 yards, while Trey MacTaggart caught 6 balls for 95 yards and a touchdown
- Upper Iowa travels to the University of Mary for a 1 p.m. kickoff
- The last time the Peacocks and Marauders met was in 2013 in Fayette when UIU won 36-7
- UIU Head Coach Tom Shea was a former head coach at U-Mary from 1991 to 1997
- Alex Kline (RB, 5-11, 216, So., Artesia, Calif.) rushed for career high 167 yards on 17 carries in a 58-16 win over UMC
- Averaged 9.8 yards per carry and scored on a 55 yard TD run

- Junior quarterback Jack Nelson threw for 349 yards, the eighth 300 yard passing game of his career
- Senior linebacker Collin Corcoran led all players with 13 tackles along with a forced fumble
- Winona State opens its home slate Saturday with a 1 p.m. match-up against Minot State at Altra Federal Credit Union Stadium
- The Warriors and Beavers have met just once, with WSU winning 49-14 on Sept. 28, 2013 in Minot
