BURNSVILLE, Minn. - The 2016 NSIC Women's Soccer Tournament pairings have been determined following the conclusion of the NSIC regular season schedule. The top eight teams from the NSIC Soccer Standings advance to the single-elimination tournament. The top four seeds host first round games on Wednesday, November 2 with the winners advancing to the semifinal and championship round on Friday, November 4 and Sunday, November 6 in a bracketed format. There will be no reseeding following the first round games. The highest remaining seed following the quarterfinals will host the semifinals and championship games.

Minot State won its first NSIC regular season title in any sport after finishing 14-0-1 in NSIC play. The Beavers will be the number one seed entering the tournament and will host a first round match against the eighth seed Upper Iowa on Wednesday at 5 p.m. Minnesota State, Bemidji State and Augustana were the two, three and four seeds and will also host first round matches on Wednesday.

The winner of the 2016 NSIC Women's Soccer Tournament earns an automatic bid to the NCAA Division II Women's Soccer Central Region Tournament. The complete NCAA championship bracket will be announced on Monday, November 7 via a webcast selection show on www.NCAA.com at 5 p.m. (CT). The regional tournament will begin November 11 on regional campuses.
