NSIC North Division Player of the Week
#5 Ayob Ayob (F, 6-7, Sr., Winnipeg, Manitoba / Kildonan East HS)
Minnesota State University Moorhead

- Averaged 24 points per game to help MSUM to a pair of road wins
- Had 24 points, six rebounds and four assists in 104-68 rout of Northern Michigan
- Scored 24 points and added five rebounds in 90-82 win over Michigan Tech
- Shot 64 percent from the field in the two games
- Averaged 5.5 rebounds per game

NSIC South Division Player of the Week
#11 Charlie Brown (G, 6-1, 185, Jr., Joplin, Mo. / Joplin HS)
Minnesota State University, Mankato

- Averaged a team-leading 23 points per game against Central Washington and Seattle Pacific
- Shot 59.3% (16-of-27) from the field
- Led the Mavericks in scoring in each game with 22 points vs. SPU/ and 24 points vs. CWU
- Added 4.5 rebounds and 2.0 assist per game
- Named the Tournament MVP
 
Augustana University Vikings

- Augustana went 1-1 last week picking up an 80-64 win over Valley City State on Monday, Nov. 14
- The Vikings then traveled to Maryville, Missouri to take on No. 6 Northwest Missouri State
- Augustana came up short against the Bearcats in a re-match of last year’s Central Region title game falling 82-71
- Augustana had five players in double-figures in Monday’s win over Valley City State, led by Mike Busack who scored 16 points
- John Warren added 13 points and eight rebounds for the Vikings against VCSU
- The Vikings out-rebounded Valley City State and hit a season-high 12 3-pointers in the win
- Augustana trailed by 24 at halftime at Northwest Missouri State before out-scoring the Bearcats 50-37 in the second frame
- The Vikings connected on 16 of 29 (55.2 percent) from the field in the second half and got a career-high 24 points from junior guard Jordan Spencer

- Jordan Spencer averaged 15.5 points, 7.5 assists and 3.0 rebounds in two games last week for the Vikings
- Spencer shot 52 percent from the field scoring 31 points in two games
- Spencer opened the week going for 7 points, four rebounds and a season-high 11 assists in the win over Valley City State
- The double-digit assist output marked the ninth of his career
- Spencer then put up a career-high 24 points on 10 of 17 shooting against Northwest Missouri State
- Spencer also added four assists, two rebounds and a steal on Thursday night
- Mike Busack averaged 14.0 points and 8.0 rebounds in two games last week
- Busack finished with 16 points and eight rebounds against Valley City State before going for 12 points and eight boards at Northwest Missouri State
- Adam Beyer averaged 12.0 points and 6.0 rebounds over the two-game span while shooting 50 percent from the field

- The Beavers second game of the weekend was rescheduled due to poor travel conditions
- The Golden Bears went on a 15-0 run in the second half, holding the Beavers to 0-of-12 shooting during that stretch, to take control of the final period

- Freshman Jai’Vionne Green led BSU in scoring for the second time this season with a career high 20 points and eight rebounds
- Junior guard Sharif Black was the only other Beaver in double-digit scoring with 10 points and he added six rebounds

- Picked up their first win of the season as they used a 15-0 run to start the second half to pull away from BSU
- Dominated down low with a 38-20 advantage in points in the paint while also holding a 39-32 edge in rebounding
- CSP hit 57.1% (16-28) from the floor in the first half before finishing at an even 50.0% (29-58) for the game

- Ted Brown was dominant down low as he scored a career-best 16 points on a perfect 7-7 from the floor and 2-2 from the line
- Diallo Powell added a full stat line as he finished with 16 points on 6-10 shooting and 3-4 from deep to go with seven boards and four assists

- Played at NCAA Division I and Big Ten member Nebraska in front of nearly 9,000 fans
- 150 Marauders fans flew from Bismarck, ND to Lincoln, NE for Marauders 70-38 loss to Cornhuskers, where Mary alumnus Tim Miles (’89) is head coach
- After three straight road games the Marauders play three straight at home (Yellowstone Christian on Monday, Nov. 21, South Dakota School of Mines & Technology on Tuesday, Nov. 22, and Minot State on Nov. 26 in the NSIC opener)

- Sr. forward Bryan Jefferson led the Marauders with 10 points against Nebraska. He is second on the team in scoring at 13.0 PPG this season
- Sr. G Damonta Henry is the Marauders leading scorer through three games, averaging 14.7 PPG. He has a team-high eight 3-pointers
- Sr. F Ricky Suggs averages 10.3 PPG off the bench for the Marauders and leads the team in rebounds (5.3/game)

- Five Mavericks averaged at least 11 points per game last weekend, including junior Charlie Brown, who averaged 23 points per game
- Senior AJ Patty and sophomore Joey Witthus averaged a team-leading seven rebounds a game last weekend
- Junior Charlie Brown and sophomore Joey Witthus were each named to the All-Tournament Team last weekend, with Brown claiming MVP honors

- Stevan Jovanovic finished in double figures in scoring in all three games, hitting for 12 each night in the first two game and 18 in 8 of 11 shooting against Mayville
- Luis Ricci Maia averaged 15.7 points, 3.7 assists and 3.0 rebounds on the week
- Russ Davis had a breakout shooting performance against Mayville State, knocking down seven 3-pointers for a game-high 24 points

- The Wolves faced off in three non-conference match-ups beginning with a close loss to SMSU at home
- Northern bounced back for two victories over Chadron State and Black Hills State on the road to improve to 3-2 on the year
- The Wolves shot a week high 62.2% from the floor with 44 points in the paint versus the Mustangs
- NSU shot 55.8% from the floor, 44.9% from the arc, and 69.6% from the foul line in the three games
- The Wolves also tallied their first overtime win of the season, defeating Black Hills State 82-76

- DJ Pollard led the team in the three games with 51 points, averaging 17 per game
- Mack Arvidson and Logan Doyle were close behind averaging 16.3 and 15.3 respectively.
- Doyle led the team with 34 rebounds, averaging 11.3 per game with a career high 18 versus Black Hills State

- USF ranks third in the league in scoring offense at 89.8 ppg, seventh in free throw shooting at 70.2 percent and first in field goal shooting at 54.4 percent. From the three point line, USF is second at 42.4 percent, hitting 42-of-99
- Sophomore forward Drew Guebert ranks eighth in scoring at 19.0 ppg while Daniel Hurtt is 10th at 17.5 and Mack Johnson, 13th, at 16.3 ppg.  Clint Thomas is also hitting double digits at 12.5 ppg
- Clint Thomas ranks fourth in the NSIC in three-point shooting at 60 percent, hitting 12-of-20 shots
- Daniel Hurtt had a career-best 31 points in the 100-65 win over Concordia-Wisconsin at the Stewart Center
- He had 27 by halftime, including a career-best five three point baskets. He finished with a double double as he also grabbed 10 rebounds. His 31 points is the second highest total of the season in the league
- He is the second USF player to crack 30 points in 2016-17 with Drew Guebert hitting 30 vs Emporia State on Nov. 12

- Sophomore guard Ryan Bruggeman had is first career double-double, with 11 points and 10 assists in the win over Northern Michigan

- Alex O’Neill chipped in career-highs of 10 points and eight rebounds
