NSIC Women’s Field Athlete of the Week
Courtney Crandall (Pole Vault, Sr., Rapid City, S.D. / Rapid City Central HS) - Sioux Falls

- Cleared the automatic qualifying standard for the third time this season at the USF Open
- Won her third pole vault title of the season as she cleared 13-2.75
- Her vault was the second best in Division II this season, behind her own vault of 13-5.25 set on March 25

NSIC Women’s Track Athlete of the Week
Maria Bolibruch (Hurdles, Fr., North Kingstown, R.I. / North Kingstown HS) U-Mary

- Won the 100 meter hurdles at the Al Bortke Open in a time of 14:09 seconds
- Posted an NCAA provisional qualifying mark
- Her time ranks as the 13th fastest in the nation in Division II this season

NSIC Team Notes
Augustana

- Competed at the USF Open this past weekend
Women’s Track
- Emma Anderson finished first in the women’s 1500-meter run with a time of 4:44.35
- Kayla Mescher finished first in the women’s 400-meter hurdles with a time of 1:03.93
- Valerie Moos finished first in the women’s 100-meter hurdles with a time of 15.39
Women’s Field
- Bree Woelber finished first in the women’s high jump at the USF Open clearing the bar at 1.74 meters
- Woelber’s jump is a provisional qualifier and the fourth best in the nation
- Woelber finished first in the Javelin at the USF open with a throw of 40.47, also a provisional qualifying mark
- Olivia Montez Brown broke the school record in the long jump with a provisional qualifying mark
 of 5.91 meters

Bemidji State
- Bemidji State opened its outdoor season competing in the University of Mary’s Al Bortke Open
- Phillie Bacon posted the top finish of BSU, earning runner-up honors in the 3,000-meter steeple chase posting a time of 12:22.75
- Nicole Crummy set a personal-best time in the 1,500-meter run with a time of 5:03.50, good for an eighth place finish out of 23 competitors
- Freshman Kaitlyn Christianson finished in fourth place in the discus throw with a toss of 116-6
- Next, Bemidji State travels to St. Paul, Minn. April 16 to compete in the Holst Invitational on the campus of Concordia University-St. Paul

Concordia-St. Paul
Women’s Track
- Gloria Williams had a hand in over half of the points for the women’s squad at the MIAA vs NSIC Showdown
- Williams finished fourth in the 100m with a time of 12.29 seconds to grab five points
- Williams also finished fourth in the 200m with a time of 25.43 seconds to grab five more points
- Williams helped the 4x100m relay team put up a time of 49.38 seconds for another fourth place finish
 Women’s Field
- Marianna Kramer finished fourth in the pole vault at the MIAA vs NSIC Showdown as she cleared a height of 10-10.75

University of Mary
- The University of Mary hosted the Al Bortke Open and captured nine individual titles by nine different student-athletes
Women’s Track
- All-American Faith Kjelstup won the 100 meter dash in 12.35 seconds and was second in both the triple and long jumps
- Chante Spotser cruised to an easy win in the 400 meter dash, posting a time of 57.60 seconds
- Jackie Harmon captured the 800 meter title in a time of 2:25.28 and she was second among collegians in the 1500
- Jaiden Schuette had the best time among collegians in the 1,500 meter run (4:52.68) and was second in the 3000
- Maria Bolibruch won the 100 meter hurdles in an NCAA provisional qualifying time of 14:09
- Julia Hammerschmidt claimed the 400 meter hurdles in 1:02.85
Women’s Field
- Davina Carr won the pole vault at the Al Bortke Open with an NCAA provisional qualifying mark of 3.80 meters
- Molly McDonald won the high jump at 1.61 meters
- Jasmyn Garcia had the top effort in the triple jump at 11.50 meters
- The Marauders next compete in three different meets in California on April 14-16 and at the Blue Hawk Games in Dickinson, N.D., on April 16

Minnesota Duluth
- UMD competed at the Ashton May Invitational on the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse
- Senior Hannah Olson and freshman Danielle Kohlwey were both individual event winners
Women’s Track
- Olson and Breanna Colbenson placed 1-2, respectively in the 1,500-meter run
- Both also did so in NCAA Division II provisional-qualifying times of  4:32.36 and 4:33.11
- Their times are the 16th and 17th fastest in the nation
- Kohlwey claimed her first outdoor collegiate title by coming in at 14.51 in the 110-meter hurdles
Women’s Field
- Michaela Hesse finished fourth in the high jump at 5-03
- Elizabeth Brunner was fifth in the triple jump at 36-07
- UMD will next compete in Concordia-St. Paul’s Holst Invitational on Saturday while a select number of Bulldogs will be in Des Moines, Iowa, on Friday and Saturday for the Jim Duncan Invitational

Minnesota State
Women’s Field
- Morgan Stampley place third in the hammer throw with a mark of 168-07 at the USF Open
- The lone female representing MSU in the Heptathlon at the MIAA vs NSIC Showdown was Jessika Dieringer
- Dieringer placed seventh with a total score of 4172
- The Mavericks will return to action next week as they will send some student-athletes to the Mt. Sac Relays in Norwalk, Calif. and the rest to the Concordia Holst Invitational held in St. Paul, Minnesota
 
MSU Moorhead
Women’s Track
- Judith Robinson won the 200 meter dash at Al Bortke Open
- Robinson’s winning time was 25.28, the ninth-fastest time in NSIC this season
- Robinson was also part of 4x100 relay that was victorious in a time of 49.11
Women’s Field:
- Bailey Reiner won the long jump at the Al Bortke Open
- Reiner’s winning jump was 18-1.5, sixth-best in the NSIC this season
- Reiner was also part of 4x100 relay that was victorious in a time of  49.11
- Reiner added a third-place finish in 100-meter dash as well

Minot State
- Minot State had two events winners and its first NCAA Division II Provisional qualifier this past weekend at the University of Mary Al Bortke Open
Women’s Track
- Samantha Huether earned her first collegiate title, taking the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 11 minutes, 41.74 seconds
- Sister Stephanie Huether earned to personal bests at the meet in the 1,500 and 3,000 meters
- Dijah Silva took second overall in the 200 meters, setting a personal best time in the event
Women’s Field:
- Amber Hunsaker earned an NCAA Division II Provisional qualifying mark with an NSIC-leading javelin toss of 146-1
- The Beavers stay in state as they travel to Dickinson State for their annual Blue Hawk Games Friday

Northern State
- Northern State finished seventh overall with 51 points at the MIAA/NSIC Showdown in Maryville, Mo.
Women’s Track
- Andrea Korvela earned a top-5 finish in the 800-meter run, while Paige Larson and Nicole Arnold finished fourth and fifth in the 3000-meter steeplechase
Women’s Field
- Josie Ostermann finished 12th for NSU in her first outdoor heptathlon of the season with 3,817 points
- NSU throwers Breann Jackson and Autumn Schulz placed third and fifth in the hammer throw
- Trevez Bridgewater recorded the team’s top finish in the meet, winning the javelin throw with a 39.34-meter toss
- The Wolves will continue competition this weekend from across the United States. Northern will take a shortened team out to California for a quad of meets, including the Mount Sac relays, while a full team squad will travel to the Sioux City Relays

Sioux Falls
- Sioux Falls hosted the USF Open on Sunday, April 10 and crowned three individual champions and hit three provisional qualifying marks
Women’s Track
- Tenley Schwartz led a 1-through-5 sweep of the women’s 5,000-meter run, clocking a 19:46.49 to earn the victory
Women’s Field
- Kimberly Peterson took second at 3.93 meters (12-10.75) and Sophie Harano placed third at 3.78 meters (12-4.75)
- Samantha Popham hit a big PR to win the women’s triple jump, registering a 11.45-meter (37-6.75) to capture the title
- The Cougars now head south to the Sioux City Relays on April 15 and 16

Southwest Minnesota State
Women’s Track
- Sophomore Kim Shabino won the 200 meters with a time of 26.33 at the USF Open on Sunday
- Shabino placed third in the 100 meters crossing the line in 12.7 seconds

St. Cloud State
- St. Cloud State competed at the Northwest Missouri State in the Heptathlon and at the MIAA / NSIC Showdown
Women’s Track
- Junior Rachael Sakry earned second in the 800m (2:23.73) and ninth in the 1,500m (5:03.23).
Women’s Field
- Gottschalk placed fourth overall in the heptathlon with 4599 points aided by second place finishes in the long jump and the 800m  
- Gottschalk was the top NSIC finisher in the event and provisionally qualified for the NCAA Championships
 -Junior Patience Yalartai won the women’s triple jump (37-06.50) and finished second in the long jump (19-00.75)
- Yalartai’s mark in the long jump reached NCAA outdoor provisional standards
- SCSU will compete next Saturday, April 16, at the Holst Invite on the campus of Concordia-St. Paul

Upper Iowa
Women’s Field
- Freshman Shay Lierman set a school record in the heptathlon with 3,843 points at the MIAA vs NSIC Showdown
- Lierman finished 11th overall at the event, moving up from 12th after the first day of competition
- Of the eight NSIC competitors, Lierman finished fifth
- The Peacocks will be back competing as a team April 16 at the Holst Invite hosted by Concordia-St. Paul

Wayne State
Women’s Track
- Kelsey Dietrich placed 12th in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 15.38 seconds, just .04 off of her season best mark in the event
- Dietrich also ran a leg on the 4 x 400 meter relay team which placed seventh  
Women’s Field
- Kyndra Sturm placed 11th in the hammer throw with a mark of 162’ 9” at the Concordia Invitational in Seward, Nebraska on Saturday
 
Winona State
- The Warriors had a strong all-around team performance winning the inaugural MIAA vs NSIC showdown, topping this year’s indoor national champion Lincoln, Missouri and last year’s indoor and outdoor national champion Central Missouri
Women’s Track
- Raissa Hansen placed second in the steeplechase at the MIAA vs NSIC Showdown Saturday in Maryville, Missouri
- Raissa’s runner-up time (to last year’s MIAA Champion) of 11:03.64 is a NCAA II provisional mark, ranks 3rd in the NSIC and 18th in NCAA II
Women’s Field
- Ashley Thooft placed second in both the discus and shot put at the MIAA vs NSIC Showdown with NCAA II Provisional marks that rank her 10th and 21st in NCAA II
