Minnetonka, Minn. -  No. 1 seed Augustana women's tennis advanced to the semifinals of the NSIC Women's Tennis Tournament with a 5-0 victory over the No. 8 seeded University of Mary on Saturday at Lifetime Fitness Oakdale in Minnetonka, Minnesota. The win gives the Vikings a 22-1 record on the year, the loss dropped the Marauders to 6-11.  

The Vikings jumped out to a quick 3-0 lead after the doubles session. The No. 1 team of Jessa Richardsand Kornelia Staniszewska defeated Sarah Janes and Meredith Holt 8-0.

Berkley Darr and Sydney Postal won their match in No. 2 singles over Catherine Gibbens and Eileen Leong 8-1. Meredith Lawrence and Kaitlyn Motley completed the sweep with an 8-1 victory over Anastasia Bruss and Monica Benda in No. 3 doubles.

In singles action, Kornelia Staniszewska remains undefeated in singles play with a 6-0, 6-0 victory over Janes in No. 1 singles. Meredith Lawrence capped off the 5-0 victory with a 6-0, 6-1 win over Shanna Stevenson in No. 6 singles.   

Due to the outcome of the match already decided Jessa Richards, Sydney Postal, Berkley Darr andChristine Olivo matches went unfinished.

Augustana will take on the winner of the MSU Moorhead in the semifinals of the NSIC Women's Tennis Tournament at 8 a.m. at Lifetime Fitness Oakdale.
