Minnetonka, Minn. -  No. 1 seed Augustana women's tennis advanced to the finals of the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Women's Tennis Tournament with a 5-0 victory over No. 4 MSU Moorhead on Sunday morning at Lifetime Fitness Oakdale. The win gives the Viking a 23-1 record on the year, the loss dropped the Dragons to 9-7.

The No. 1 doubles team of Kornelia Staniszewska and Jessa Richards improved to 21-1 on the year with an 8-0 victory over Ashley woods and Jessamy Jones.

Meredith Lawrence and  Kaitlyn Motley remain undefeated in doubles matches with an 8-0 win over Ricquel Ramsbottom and Morgan Smith in No. 3 doubles. Berkley Darr and Sydney Postal completed the doubles sweep with an 8-3 win over Maria Moral and Jade Goodyear in No. 2 doubles.

Kornelia Staniszewska won her match in straight sets 6-0, 6-0 over Jessamy Jones in No. 1 singles. This is the third straight match Staniszewska has won 6-0, 6-0. Jessa Richards secured the 5-0 victory over Jade Goodyear in No. 2 singles  6-3, 6-1 to improve to 19-2 on the season.

Due to the outcome of the match already decided Berkley Darr, Sydney Postal, Christine Olivo andMeredith Lawrence matches remained unfinished.  

The Vikings will face-off against Upper Iowa in the finals of the NSIC Women's Tennis Tournament Championship at noon at Lifetime Fitness Oakdale.
