NSIC Men’s Field Athlete of the Week
- Scott Greenman (Pole Vault, R-Jr., Clovis, Calif. / Clovis HS) - Sioux Falls

- Won the pole vault at the Vance Butler Invite in Sioux Falls
- Improved his previous season-best with a 16-11 (5.16m) mark
- Currently ranks third in Division II and tops in the NSIC

NSIC Men’s Track Athlete of the Week
Richard Wilhite, Jr. (Sprints, Sr., Minneapolis, Minn. / Robbinsdale Cooper HS) - Minnesota State

- Was the top Division II finisher in the 100 and 200-meter dash at the Vance Butler Invitational
- Wilhite’s time of 10.36 in the 100-meters qualifies him provisionally for nationals and currently ranks as the fourth fastest time in Division II
- Wilhite’s time of 20.94 in the 200-meter dash also qualifies provisionally and ranks third in Division II

NSIC Team Notes
Augustana

- Competed at the Vance Butler Invitational
Men’s Track
- Ryan Heuer finished first in the 110-meter hurdles crossing the line at 14.71 seconds
- Josh Barrows finished First in the men’s 800-meter run
- Justin Greenway came in third in the men’s 100-meter dash with a provisional qualifier time of 10.61
 
Concordia-St. Paul
Men’s Field
- Tyler Naumowicz picked up a with in the 400m hurdles at the Hamline Invitational with a time of 56.56 seconds
- Naumowicz grabbed another top-5 finish with a time of 15.46 in the 110m hurdles, good for fourth

University of Mary
- Opened outdoor season at the Tom Benich Invite, hosted by NCAA Division I Northern Colorado
Men’s Track
- Steven Gordon claimed second in the 1,500 run with a time of 4:04.53
Men’s Field
- William Kaigler captured the triple jump title at the Tom Benich Invite,
- Kaigler jump covered 47-0.25
- Kaigler was also third in the long jump
- Jack Lamb won the high jump with a mark of 6’ 4.75”
- U-Mary placed 1-2-3-5-6 in the high jump with Dustin Rueb taking second and Sam Mackedanz third behind Lamb
- The Marauders next compete at home, hosting the Al Bortke Open on Saturday, April 9, at MDU Resources Community Bowl

Minnesota Duluth
- Minnesota Duluth opened season at the Hamline University Invitational in St. Paul, Minn.
- UMD came away one individual title, one relay crown and another five runnerup finishes
Men’s Track
- UMD’s 4 x 400 meter relay unit of Austin Carlson, Darrick Jackson, Frank Deluca and Connor Behm came in first, clocking in at 3:22.98
Men’s Field
- Junior Brian Lee took top honors in the hammer throw with a toss of 170’-02” to place just ahead of fellow Bulldog, senior Kern Wilson (163’-01”)
- Next up for UMD is University of Wisconsin-La Crosse’s Ashton May Invitational this Saturday and for a select group of athletes, the Saint John’s University Decathlon in Collegeville, Minn. on Saturday and Sunday

MInnesota State
Men’s Track

MSU Moorhead
Men’s Track
- Brady Speicher won the 3,000 meters at the Vance Butler Invitational on Sunday with a time of 8:55.85
Men’s Field
- Jonas Matzen was Dragons’ highest finisher in field events, taking second in high jump at 6-6 3/4
- MSUM will compete at the Al Bortke Open at the University of Mary on April 9

Minot State
- Minot State finished with four placewinners, seven personal bests and three season best at the Vance Butler Memorial Invitational Saturday and Sunday at Howard Wood Field
Men’s Track
- Dylan Harvey was fifth overall in the 400-meter hurdles, finishing with a time of 58.76 seconds and was MSU’s highest placewinner
Men’s Field:
- Kaleb Kirby moved into fifth all time at MSU with a 14-feet-11½ leap in the pole vault, finishing sixth
- Farai Madungwe set a PR in the 100 and earned a season best in the triple jump, taking eighth overall with a leap of 43-feet-9
- Kevin Hodges moved up to fifth all time at MSU and finished ninth in the hammer throw with a heave of 139-feet-6
- The Beavers will travel south down US Highway 83 – the fifth longest north-south highway in the United States – for the University of Mary Al Bortke Invite Saturday

Northern State
- The Northern State University men’s track and field team traveled to the State Farm Emporia State Relays this past Saturday
- The Wolves finished 22nd overall in the 23 team field
- NSU tallied 13 top-20 finishes from the relays, including four top-10 marks
Men’s Track
- Dylon Hollingsworth also broke into the individual top-10 in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 56.62 seconds
Men’s Field
- Deshonn Brown recorded the team’s top finish of the day, taking fifth in the high jump
- Brown cleared 2.00-meters in his first outdoor competition
- The Wolves will return to action this Friday and Saturday for Northwest Missouri State and Maryville, Mo

Sioux Falls
- After USF’s pole vault opened the season in Texas, the entire Sioux Falls Track & Field team competed at the Vance Butler Invite
- The Cougars hit three provisional marks in the pole vault, crowning Scott Greenman as champion for the second time this season
Men’s Track
- Jase Kraft and Mason Phillips went 1-2 in the men’s 1,500-meter run, setting the second and third fastest times in USF history
- Teddy Frid placed top four in the men’s 110-meter hurdles and registered the No. 3 time in USF history
- Sioux Falls stays home this week, hosting the USF Open at the Lillibridge Track & Field Complex in Sioux Falls
Men’s Field
- Greenman improved his previous season-best with a 5.16-meter (16 feet-11 inches) mark that currently ranks third in Division II and tops in the NSIC
- Chase Jensen placed second behind his teammate, clearing 5.01 meters (16-5.25) and moving into the national top 10 at No. 9
- Jacob Zebedee recorded the third provisional mark for USF, clearing 4.86 meters (15-11.25) to take fourth

Southwest Minnesota State
Men’s Field
- Alex Weis competed in three events at the Emporia State Relays last Saturday
- Weis placed fifth out of 38 in the shot with a toss of 16.2 meters
- Weis finished in eighth place out of 33 competitors in the discus with a throw of 48.81 meters
- Weis  also finished 11th out of 30 in the hammer throw with a mark of 50.09 meters
- Southwest Minnesota State competes at the University of Sioux Falls Invite on Saturday

St. Cloud State
- St. Cloud State opened outdoor track and field season this weekend and participated in the Vance Butler Memorial Invitational on April 3
- SCSU had a strong showing with nine top-three finishes and an event win
- The team also had a pair of NCAA outdoor provisional marks in throws competition
Men’s Track
-Sophomore Isaiah Pitchford finished as the runner up in the men’s 400m dash (49.57).
Men’s Field
- Senior Ryan Johnson won the men’s hammer with his NCAA provisional toss of 56.79m
- Johnson also finished third in the men’s discus (48.23m) and seventh in the shot put (14.55m)
- Senior thrower Rafael Saez placed second in the men’s discus (48.61) and third in the shot put (14.77m)
- Junior Keyshawn Davis placed second in the long jump (6.97m)

Wayne State
- Wayne State competed at the ESU State Farm Relays
Men’s Track
- Justin Brueggemann recorded a time of 8:57.08 for the top finish by a Wildcat men’s runner Saturday which was good for a third place finish in the 3,000 meter run to lead the Wayne State  
Men’s Field
- Brady Metz had a seventh place finish in the triple jump (46’ 4”) and was 12th in the long jump (22’ 1”)
The Wildcats will compete in the NSIC vs. MIAA Challenge on Friday and Saturday in Marysville, Missouri
