NSIC Women's Cross Country Athlete of the Week
Alexis Zeis (Jr., Bismarck, N.D. / Bismarck HS)
University of Mary
- Won the Roy Griak Invite for the second consecutive year, finishing in a time of 22:10.20
- Won the event by 14.8 seconds to help UMary to the team title, edging UMD by two points
- Was named USTFCCCA DII National Athlete of the Week for the second time this season and fourth time in the past two years
- Has won the last seven meets that she has competed in
- Has earned NSIC Athlete of the Week honors twice already this season

- Lindberg improved her place in the race by 88 places from the 1K mark to the finish

CSP started at a 5:32 difference between first and fifth at Crown, moving to 2:33.9 at Concordia-Wisconsin and trimmed it to 2:06 at the Griak

Top Performer (s)
- Alexis Zeis led the Marauders with her winning performance in a time of 22:10.20
- Running just a second ahead of her closest competitor at the halfway mark, the junior from Bismarck, ND, opened up a considerable lead over the last 3,000 meters to win by 14.8 seconds
- Sophomore transfer Ida Narbuvoll also had a strong performance with a fourth place finish in a time of 22:43.60
Team Notes
- UMary just nudged out 9th ranked Minnesota Duluth for the Griak crown
- The Marauders posted 93 points while the Bulldogs checked in with 95
- The Marauders also won the team Griak title in 2011

- Jana Warrick led the Beavers in her first Griak race, finishing with a time of 25 minutes, 20.1 seconds to earn a top 100 (96th) in scoring and a 102nd overall
- Emily Westlake was second on the team with a 26;09.5, taking 156th in scoring and 174th overall

Top Performer (s)
- Dakotah Bullen was the top finisher for the Wolves in ninth overall with a time of 23:12.6. Bullen moved up five places from her finish a season ago
- Paige Larson also broke into the top-100 with a time of 25:04.6
Team Notes
- The Wolves finished 19th overall as a team with an average time 25:10.3
- Northern tallied six of their seven runners finishing in the upper half of the competition field

 - For the first time in school history, the USF Women’s Team ranked 10th in the U.S. Track/Cross Country Coaches Association Regional Poll on last Wednesday.
