NSIC North Division Player of the Week
#34 Chelsea Nooker (G, 5-9, Sr., Green Bay, Wis. / Bay Port HS)
St. Cloud State

- Averaged 21.0 points, six rebounds, 4.5 assists and 3.5 steals last week
- Scored a season high 28 points in a 83-66 win over Upper Iowa
- Shot 51.6 % (16-or-31) from the floor and 44.4% from long range
- Added 14 points, seven boards, five assists and four steals in a 71-64 loss to WSU  

NSIC South Division Player of the Week
#50 Sam Knecht (C, 6-2, Sr., Platte, S.D. / Aberdeen Central HS)
Sioux Falls

- Nearly averaged a double-double with 19.5 points and 9.0 rebounds in two wins for USF
- Recorded her seventh double-double of the season, scoring 12 points with 10 rebounds in 55-47 win at BSU
- Scored a season-high 27 points, with 11 in the fourth quarter, and grabbed eight rebounds in a 69-63 win at UMC
- Posted three blocks against Minnesota Crookston and two more against Bemidji State
- Shot 17-of-30 on the weekend (56.7 percent), including a 12-17 performance against BSU
- Named NSIC Player of the Week for the third time this season (11/28/16 & 12/12/16)

- Mary faces Bemidji State and Minnesota Crookston for the first time this season. The Beavers and the Golden Eagles are the only NSIC North teams the Marauders have yet to face
- Freshmen Gabbie Bohl (16 points), Lauren Rotunda (14), Cassie Askvig (11) and Cristal Hearn (2) combined to score 43 of the Marauders 68 points against the Golden Bears
- BEK Sports will air both Marauders games this weekend statewide

- Fr. C Gabbie Bohl posted her second double double of the season with 16 points and 11 rebounds at CSP. She just missed another double double by one rebound with 13 points and nine boards at Minnesota State. Bohl went 10-of-12 at the free throw line in the two games
- Fr. G Lauren Rotunda reached double figures in both games, scoring 14 points at CSP and chipping in 11 at MSU

- Minnesota Crookston went 1-2 on the week with an 83-75 win over Bemidji State on the road, followed by a pair of home losses to Southwest Minnesota State and Sioux Falls
- The Golden Eagles staved off a late charge from BSU in Bemidji
- On Friday, UMC gave up too many opportunities off of offensive rebounds as the Mustangs controlled things in the post in a win
- Against Sioux Falls, the Golden Eagles came back with a strong second half led by the play of Isieoma Odor. The Cougars would hold off UMC as they picked up the win
- The Golden Eagles shot 53.4 percent from the field and 33.3 percent from beyond the arc in a win over Bemidji State
- UMC shot 39.4 percent from the field and 30.0 percent from beyond the arc in the loss to Southwest Minnesota State
- The Golden Eagles shot 91.3 percent from the charity stripe in the loss to Sioux Falls. They shot 31.0 percent from the field and 26.1 percent from beyond the arc against the Cougars
Top Performers
- Isieoma Odor averaged 18.0 points and 6.0 rebounds on the week. She shot 62.4 percent from the field and 82.4 percent from the charity stripe on the week
- Odor added five blocks on the week
- Alison Hughes tallied 17.7 points per game on the week. She shot 40.9 percent from beyond the arc and 92.3 percent from the charity stripe
- Emily Gruber averaged 12.7 points and 4.7 rebounds per game on the week. Gruber shot 40 percent from the field

- UMD’s 47.5 field goal percentage against UIU is its second highest of the season
- The Bulldogs’ 8-4 NSIC start is its best performance through 12 games since the 2009-10 season

- Sammy Kozlowski scored a career-high 25 points against Upper Iowa while adding six rebounds. Kozlowski averaged 19 points on the weekend
- Allyson Harris averaged 14 points and has now scored double-digit points in six straight games and eight of the last nine
- Emma Boehm netted a season-high 12 points against the Peacocks while averaging 11.5 on the weekend

-Outscored 18-10 in the third quarter at CSP to trail by 12 after 3, but cut the lead to six multiple times before running out of time
-Finished with 22 team assists on 39 field goals on the weekend

- Kari Clements finished with 21 total points on the weekend, hitting three 3-pointers and all four free throws pushing her free throw total to 51 of 59 on the season (86.4 percent)
- Madison Wald scored a team-high 18 points, making three 3-pointers and 7 of 12 from the field in the loss at CSP
- Kristal Flowers finished with a double-double of 11 rebounds and 10 points at CSP and combined for 16 rebounds and 15 points on the weekend

- Held off a late Minnesota Crookston charge behind Sam Knecht’s 27 points to defeat UMC, 69-63 for the third straight time
- Built a 19-point lead early in the second half before Knecht scored 11 fourth-quarter points to seal the victory for USF

- Sam Knecht nearly averaged a double-double with 19.5 points and 9.0 rebounds per game

- SCSU outscored the Peacocks in points stemming from turnovers 28-15, as well as second chance points (8-2) and points from the bench (19-10)
- Huskies shot a combined 86% from the free throw line on the weekend, their best-combined percentage of a weekend, after making all six shot opportunities against Winona State
- The Huskies also were able to convert on Warriors’ turnovers as they outscored Winona 15-7 in points off turnovers
-  The WSU game would feature seven score ties, four of which were in the second half

- Blair Klostermann paced UIU's offense with 17 points per game while shooting 44% from the floor with 4 trifectas; she added 7 rebounds per game as well
- Carly Pagel and Sam Ofstad also reached double figure averages over the weekend with 11.5 and 10 points per game, respectively; Ofstad averaged 6 assists per game
- Pagel has now scored 982 points in her career at UIU as she looks to become the 12th women's basketball player to reach 1,000 points
