NSIC Women's Cross Country Athlete of the Week
Meg Borowski (So., Chanhassen, Minn. / Minnetonka HS)
Minnesota Duluth

- Finished 17th among 359 runners at the highly competitive Lewis Conference Crossover meet
- Ran the 6K course in a time of 22:19.4, with a 5:59.3 average mile pace
- Help UMD to a seventh place team finish in the 34 team field
- Was top Bulldog finisher for the third time this season

Bob Waxlax Invitational in Sauk Rapids, Minn.  Results
Top Performer (s)
- Emily Tromp took first for the first time as a Viking with a time of 22:55.7
- Cassidy Soli (third), Leah Seivert (fourth), Claire Boersma (sixth) and Rachel Rairdon (seventh) rounded out the team scoring
- Carly Rahn (eighth) and Courtney Hottovy (ninth) also finished in the top-10

- Freshman Brittny Hillstrom led BSU for the first time this season with a 22nd place finish and a time of 24:53.8 in the 6K run
- Junior Sarone Paulzine finished among BSU’s top two for the third meet this season, finishing 26th with a time of 25:11.7
- Freshman Ellen Peterson finished 30th with a time of 25:22.1
- Freshman Ashley Kinnard finished 37th with a time of 26:02.2 while freshman Kristen Petron rounded out BSU’s top five with a 46th place finish and time of 27:16.2
Team Notes
- Bemidji State placed fifth among five teams in the 6K Bob Waxlax Invitational
- Four of six runners set personal records in the 6K run
- BSU averaged a time of 25:46

- A second cluster of Marauders placed 8-9-10. Emma Hafdahl placed eighth with a clocking of 18:41.00 with Amanda Forliti (18:46.00) and Lacey Feist-Young (18:49.00) on her heels

- Won the 8-team Jimmie Invitational with 31 points to outdistance second place Northern State with 48 points
- Demonstrating their impressive depth, the Marauders held out their top five runners in preparation of the NSIC championships
- Ranked 13th in the nation in the USTFCCCA poll for a second straight week

Fort Hays State Tiger Open  Results – 8th
Top Performer (s)
- In USF’s third competition this season, freshman Taryn Ceglowski finished third in the women’s DII competition at the Fort Hays State Tiger Open
- In her third straight standout performance to open her collegiate career, Ceglowski had clocking of 18:29.5 and just 29 seconds out of the lead
- She led the USF Women's Team to a solid eighth place finish at the meet that included 163 competitors
- In the women’s race at the FHSU Tiger Open, USF placed three runners in the top-50, including sophomore Montana Belford, 42nd (19:47.1); and senior Kiana Kraft, 48th (19:56.5)
- Other finishers for USF included senior Kylie Herlihy, 75th (20:18.6), freshman Sadie Thompson, 76th (20:18.7); senior Tenley Schwartz, 78th (20:19.2), senior Laura Kunz, 109th (21:06.6) and junior Mattisen Kelley, 144th (21:52.3)
Team Notes
- The USF Women's Team finished 8th at the highly competitive Fort Hays State Tiger Open.
- This fall, USF has placed 10th at the Augustana Twilight, 17th at the Roy Griak Meet and eighth at the FHSU Tiger Open
