NSIC Women's Basketball Players of the Week

NSIC North Division Player of the Week
#40 Kristal Flowers (F, 6-1, Sr., Collins, Miss. / Collins HS)
Minot State
- Averaged 16.5 points and 17.5 rebounds in two games played last week
- Scored 15 points and had 14 rebounds versus Jamestown
- Scored 18 points and grabbed 21 rebounds, including nine on the offensive end, in a 72-62 win over UMary
- Shot 53%  (16-of-30) from the field while playing 60 minutes

NSIC South Division Player of the Week
#11 Anna Schmitt (G, 5-7, Jr., Waconia, Minn. / Waconia HS)
Concordia-St. Paul
- Averaged an NSIC high 30.0 points per game while shooting 62.8% (22-35) from the floor and 50.0% (4-8) from behind the arc
- Scored a career-high 33 points in the 83-76 loss to No. 10 Michigan Tech
- Shot an impressive 66.7% (14-21) from the floor and a perfect 4-4 from three versus MTU
- Chipped in ten rebounds, six assists, and two steals throughout the two games
- Continues to lead the NSIC in scoring, averaging 26.2 points per game and currently ranks fifth in the conference in shooting percentage (.571) and sixth in free-throw percentage (.889)
- Named NSIC Player of the Week for the second time this season (11/13/17)

- Logan O’Farrell scored 21 points, snagged 11 rebounds and captured seven steals in the win over Wayne State last Monday - Paige Peterson poured in 20 points and snagged eight rebounds in the win over Wayne State. Peterson scored 18 points and grabbed six rebounds in the win over Michigan Tech on Friday. She added 19 points, five rebounds, two assists and two blocks in the win over Lake Superior State on Saturday - O’Farrell added 16 points, another six rebounds, four assists and one block in the win on Saturday

- Bemidji State was swept in the Metro State Thanksgiving Classic by Metro State, 71-51, and Colorado Christian, 72-68 - Metro State won every quarter while holding Bemidji State to three second quarter points and 31.5 percent shooting from the field during the game - BSU led by as many as 10 points in the third quarter before CC went on a 7-0 run to end the period - The Beavers and Cougars were tied at 68-68 with 14 seconds remaining when CC went 4-for-4 from the free throw line compared to 0-for-2 for BSU - BSU finished the weekend shooting 35.5 percent from the field and 25.0 percent from beyond the arc - The Beavers averaged 34.0 rebounds per game while allowing 43.5

- Senior center Sierra Senske scored a season-high 20 points against Metro State, while also breaking BSU’s all-time program record for free throws with 327 - Senske led BSU on the weekend with 15.5 points per game on 84.6 percent shooting from the floor - Sophomore center Sydney Arrington recorded her first career double-double Saturday against Colorado Christian with 13 points and 10 rebounds - Arrington finished the weekend averaging 8.0 points and 5.5 rebounds per game

- The Golden Bears went 1-1 in their Radisson Hotel Classic, defeating Lake Superior State and falling to #10 Michigan Tech - The Bears shot 46% from the field (56-121) over the two games while shooting 82.2% from the line (37-45) - Concordia held a 78-68 rebounding edge over their opponents, cashing in on 27 second chance points - The Bears had nine different players score in their 83-73 victory over Lake Superior State, which is the most spread-out their scoring has been so far this season

- Junior guard Anna Schmitt led offensively, scoring 60 points between two games. She went 62.8% (22-35) from the floor and 50.0% (4-8) from three and scored a career-high 33 points in the 76-83 loss against #10 Michigan Tech - Junior Lindsay Dorr recorded her second double-double of the season against Lake Superior State, scoring 12 points and securing 13 rebounds - Freshman Ellie Gess continued being a solid contributor, scoring ten points in each game

- Lauren Rotunda led the Marauders in scoring both games during the week. She posted 21 points and ten rebounds against Presentation, making 4-of-5 trey attempts - Rotunda added 17 points, five rebounds, five assists, two blocks and two steals at Minot State - Gabbie Bohl has reached double digits in points in every game this season as the sophomore forward had 18 points and five rebounds against the Saints - She followed with 12 points and seven rebounds against the Beavers - For the year Bohl is averaging 17.8 ppg and 6.8 rpg while making 66 percent of her shots - Dani Williams hit seven treys in two games last week. She was 3-for-5 behind the arc and scored 17 points against the Saints - The senior guard was 4-of-10 on treys at MSU and posted 12 points. For the season Williams is shooting 49 percent on 3-pointers

- Micaela Noga averaged 16.5 points on 12-of-31 from the field on the weekend. She also tallied 3.5 assists per game - Emily Gruber tallied a near double-double on the weekend of 11.0 points and 9.0 rebounds per game. She shot 52.6 percent from the field - Isieoma Odor also averaged a near double-double on the weekend of 14.0 points and 9.0 rebounds per game. She shot 42.8 percent from the field - Caitlin Michaelis averaged 11.5 points per game and shot 45.5 percent from beyond the arc
