NSIC Women's Basketball Players of the Week

NSIC North  Division Player of the Week
#51 Miranda Ristau (C, 6-2, Sr., Warner, S.D. / Warner HS)
Northern State
- Averaged 20.5 points and 13.5 rebounds per game in two games against MSU Moorhead
- Became the 32^nd member of the Northern State 1,000 point club Friday's 69-65 win versus MSUM
- Shot 51.7 percent from the floor and went 11-of-14 from the foul line
- Recorded her second and third double-doubles of the season
- Had 29 points and 14 rebounds in the win, and 12 points and 13 rebounds in the 64-61 overtime loss
- Tallied 11 blocks on the week, while adding three assists and two steals
- Named NSIC Player of the Week for the third time this season (11/13/17 & 11/2017)

Augustana
- Picked up her second double-double of the season, scoring 21 points and grabbing 10 rebounds in a 84-59 victory over WSC

- Logan O’Farrell picked up her 2nd double-double of the season scoring 21 points and snagged 10 rebounds on Tuesday night vs. Wayne State. - Shelby Selland cashed in 10 points and snagged three rebounds on Tuesday night - Senior Paige Peterson poured in 12 points and snagged two rebounds off the bench Tuesday night vs. Wayne State - Hana Metoxen had a balanced night scoring eight points and collecting five rebounds.

- Bemidji State took the first of two season meetings against Minnesota Crookston, 76-64, at BSU Gymnasium in Bemidji, Minn. - BSU held a 37-34 lead at halftime before pulling away in the second half - The Beavers shot 43.3 percent from the field, 36.8 percent from long range and 89.5 percent from the free throw line, while allowing the Golden Eagles to shoot 37.9 percent from the floor, 23.5 percent from beyond the arc and 84.2 percent from the charity stripe - The BSU bench provided 29 points compared to 10 points for UMC

- Freshman guard Brooklyn Bachmann led BSU and tied a career high with 22 points on 8-of-14 shooting from the field - Bachmann tied BSU’s rebound lead with seven boards and added three steals and two assists - Sophomore center Sydney Arrington, in her first career start, dropped 12 points on 50 percent shooting with three rebounds, two assists and one block - Freshman guard Sydney Zerr also added a career high 12 points on four 3-pointers off the bench while also tallying two assists and one block

-The Golden Bears dropped their only conference game of the week to Minnesota State by a score of 45-70 before defeating Palm Beach Atlantic 63-58 in their last non-conference matchup of the season -The Bears were held to under 40.0% field goal percentages in both contests, but found a way to score 19 points off free-throws in their victory over PBA -Concordia’s bench was especially active in their last two contests, scoring 46 total points

-Junior Hannah Vidlund recorded her first career double-double in the game against Palm Beach Atlantic, scoring a team-high 14 points and securing a career-high ten rebounds. -Kayla Miller led the Bears offensively against the Mavericks, scoring 11 points and Ellie Gess was right behind her scoring ten. -Junior Lexi Lee chipped in against Minnesota State, tallying a career-high nine points, while adding two rebounds, two assists, and a steal.

- The Marauders broke into the NSIC win column with a dominating 70-45 win over visiting Minot State University - UMary made 11-of-21 trey attempts and shot 49 percent from the floor while defensively limiting MSU to a shooting percentage of .314 (16-of-51)  - The 45 points allowed was the fewest in a conference game for UMary since defeating Minnesota Duluth 54-44 on 1.23.16 - The 25-point margin was the largest for the Marauders in an NSIC game since defeating Concordia-St. Paul 81-52 on 2.17.12 - In the midst of playing 8-of-11 and 6-of-8 games at home, the Marauders next host Minnesota Duluth and St. Cloud State on Dec. 30-31

- Macy Williams scorched Minot State for a career-high 20 points, making 6-of-7 3-pointers and 7-of-9 shots overall. The freshman also had four rebounds and three steals - Gabbie Bohl had 14 points in the win over the Beavers, making 6-of-11 field goals and adding a pair of free throws. She also had two blocks - Lauren Rotunda was limited to five points but dished six assists, made three steals and added five rebounds - Cassie Askvig scored eight points, distributed five assists and had four rebounds in the win over Minot State

- Sammy Kozlowski averaged 5.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, 5.5 assists and 3.0 steals in the two games - Ann Simonet led all starters with 10 points per game on the week, shooting 57 percent from the field - Anna Monke got her first start of the season vs. SCSU. She averaged the team-high 5.0 rebounds per game - Ayo Porte had a strong game vs. the Wildcats with eight points, four rebounds and a career-high four assists - Emma Boehm led the team in scoring Tuesday with 14 points in the 21-point win over NMU

- The Northern State University women’s basketball team opened the week moving up two spots to No. 12 in the WBCA Top-25 Poll - The Wolves split with the Dragons of MSU Moorhead in two close contests, falling to the Dragons in overtime - Northern shot 39.3 percent from the floor, 26.9 percent from the arc, and 79.5 percent from the foul line in the two games - They averaged 65.0 points, 46.5 rebounds, 14.0 assists, 13.0 turnovers, 2.5 steals, and 6.5 blocks per game - The Wolves out-rebounded the Dragons in both games, averaging 10.0 more on the week - Two Wolves scored in double figures, while one averaged double digit rebounds
