- Led Marauders with batting average of .450 (9-of-20), a slugging percentage of 1.000 and a .500 on base percentage in six games at the Cactus Classic
- Blasted three home runs and two doubles, drove in eight runs and scored six times
- Did not strike out in six games
- Went 4-for-4 with a double, two runs scored and two RBI against No. 2 West Texas A&M
- Homered in both Marauders wins, 3-2 over Lubbock Christian and 3-2 over Academy of Art
- Has 43 career home runs

NSIC Pitcher of the Week
#3 Jordyn Kleman (P/OF, Fr., R/R, La Crosse, Wis. / Logan HS)
Winona State

- Earned a pair of victories and had a 1.17 ERA on the week
- Threw a no-hitter against Wisconsin-Parkside
- Allowed just two earned runs in 12 innings of work
- Struck out 21 batters
- Held opponents to just .105 hitting

- Allowed nine runs in the first three innings against Northeastern State

- Allowed only six hits and starting pitcher Samantha Sullivan struck out a career-high six batters in 3-2 win

- Had #2 West Texas A&M on the ropes, leading 8-3 entering bottom of 6 before the Lady Buffs scored eight straight runs (five in sixth, three in seventh)
- Defense greatly improved. After 25 errors in first five games, committed just 15 in six games at Cactus Classic, including two or fewer in four games
Top Performer(s)
- Taylor Mendez hit .450 (9-of-20) with a 1.000 slugging percentage and a .500 on base percentage. She slugged three HRs and two doubles, drove in eight runs and scored six times, all team highs. Mendez didn’t strike out over the six games
- Amber Gamboa hit .412 (7-of-17) with a .578 slugging and .474 on base percentage. The senior hit one home run and drove in two runs
- Freshmen Hannah Holtz and Rebekkah Keller both had good tournaments. Holtz hit .375 (4-of-16) with a double, an RBI and two runs scored with an on base percentage of .444. Keller hit .333 (7-of-21) with a triple and an RBI and scored five runs

- Minnesota Crookston is sitting at 3-5 on the year after going 2-2 last week at the Minot State University Invitational at the Presentation College Dome in Aberdeen, S.D.
- UMC hit .283 as a team last week with 12 runs scored, six doubles, one home run and 11 RBI
- The Golden Eagles posted a 2-2 mark in the circle with a 5.88 ERA in 26.0 innings pitched with 17 earned runs allowed and 20 strikeouts

- Samantha Proctor was 3-of-4 in two games for UMC with a double
- Hailey Fitzpatrick hit .500 as she went 4-of-8
- Rocky Bjorge batted .4000 with two doubles
- Victoria Bayliss hit .357 with three runs scored, one double and one RBI

- UMD, after winning its 8-State Classic opener against Nebraska-Kearney last Friday , dropped its final five games of that event, losing two on walk-off hits in the bottom of the seventh inning
-The Bulldogs have hit six homers in six games , with junior shortstop Becky Smith accounting for half of those
Top Performer(s)
- Junior centerfielder Hannah Schmoll, a 2016 All-NSIC second team honoree, paces the Bulldogs with a .421 batting average
- She has also stolen four bases (in six attempts) after setting a school record in that department (40) last spring
- Junior second baseman and 2016 All-NISC first teammer Natalie Wright, is next with a .368  average
- Four different Bulldogs have spent time in the pitching circle this season, including senior Sam Hartmann, who is 1-2 with three complete games

- Junior Jess Meidl notched six hits with a team-high two home runs, one triple, and two RBI. She also stole four bases
- Senior pitcher Coley Ries went 2-1 last weekend. She pitched 21 innings with 34 strikeouts including a season-best 10 vs. Arkansas Tech and Harding. Ries held the opponents batting average to .122

- MSUM hit four homers at the dome tournament, led by freshman Madison Paige with two and senior Lauren Meeker and freshman Emma Dummer with one each

- Freshman OF Madison Paige hit .429 for the week with two homers, a double and five RBI while recording a .929 slugging percentage
- Sophomore OF Aunica Novacek hit .500 for the week with two RBI
- Freshman 3B Emma Dummer hit .444 with a homer and an RBI
- Senior OF Carly Williamson hit .400 on the week
- Freshman P Becky Volkert went 1-0 on the mound with an 0.81 ERA in 8 2/3 innings

- Smacked 12 extra base hits in four games including five in the opener against UMC and four – with two home runs – in the finale against MSUM

- Rachel Burdette batted 7 for 13 overall with five runs batted in to help MISU to a 3-1 record. She had three hits in the opener and in the finale, hitting her first home run of the season against MSUM
- Clarissa Ramirez evened her season record at 2-2 with a pair of wins in the circle, pitching a total of nine innings, giving up seven hits and one run over two starts with five strikeouts
- Skyla Neubauer had five hits with at least one in each game, batting 5 for 13 overall, with her first career grand slam in the second game against BHSU
- Ashley Hill finished with five hits – including her third home run of the year – and drove in five runs, batting 5 for 13 overall

- The Peacocks opened their season at the UAM 8-State Classic in Bentonville, Ark. over the weekend, dropping their first four games before picking up their first win of the season
- As a team, UIU hit .230 at the plate, but were only able to score 17 runs in the six games
- Upper Iowa was stellar in the field, making just 4 errors in 59 attempts, for a fielding percentage of .977
- The Peacocks allowed late runs against Washburn to open the season, and had chances against Ouachita Baptist in the close 2-1 defeat
- UIU faced early deficits against Missouri Western and Illinois-Springfield, and despite making the comeback, left multiple runners on base in late innings to surrender both games on day two
- The Peacocks scored twice in the first inning and five times in the third inning in their win over Nebraska-Kearney, tallying 7 runs on 10 hits on Sunday

- Courtney Clayberg earned her first win of the season in the circle against UNK, pitching a complete game allowing 2 earned runs on 7 hits while striking out 2
- Sammy Garrett went 9-18 at the plate in 6 games, with 1 double and 2 RBI; the outfielder was 2-2 on the base paths and did not make an error in the field
- Tara Walls hit .368 (9-17) at the tournament, collecting two doubles and two runs batted in as well
- Freshman Julia Buffington hit .308 including her first career home run against Nebraska-Kearney on Sunday
- Shannon Nix also hit her first home run of the season, against Missouri Western State
