NSIC North Division Player of the Week
#51 Miranda Ristau (C, 6-2, Jr., Warner, S.D. /  Warner HS)
Northern State
- Averaged 24.0 points, including a career-high 29 points in a  64-46 win at SCSU
- Was 17-of-30 from the floor for a shooting percentage of 56.7
- Went 14-15 from the charity stripe
- Picked up 16 total rebounds, six of which were offensive boards
- Collected six blocks, three assists and one steal in the two games
- On the season, averaging a team-high 17.2 points, 7.9 rebounds and 2.3 blocks per game
- Currently fourth in the NSIC in scoring (17.8), second in field goal percentage (56.6) and second in blocked shots (2.5)

- Averaged 25.0 points, 4.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists, and 1.5 steals per game over the weekend
- Scored 29 points on 9-13 (69.2%) shooting from the field in a 75-68 win over USF
- Also went 4-6 (66.7%) from beyond the arc against the Cougars
- Played all 40 minutes in both games
- Shot a combined 15-25 (60%) from the field, 7-12 (58.3%) from distance and 13-14 (92.9%) from the free-throw line in Concordia’s two wins
- Recorded her 12th and 13th 20+ point games over the weekend
- Tallied 21 points, four rebounds and four assists in a 71-68 win over SMSU shooting 6-12 (50%) from the floor

- Bemidji State took a split against U-Mary and Minot State to top last season’s conference win total by one - The Beavers fell Friday to the Marauders, 64-52, from BSU Gymnasium - Junior center Sierra Senske scored the first nine points for BSU in the post and helped the team take a 13-9 lead after the first quarter - BSU took its fourth conference win of the season to finish seventh in the NSIC North with a 90-84 win over Minot State - Bemidji State took its first win after trailing at halftime, going 0-for-17 to begin the season - BSU outscored MISU, 53-46, in the second half and led by as many as 12 in the third quarter

- Concordia shot the ball fairly well against USF as they finished 47.1% (24-51) from the field, 40.0% (8-20) from beyond the arc and 73.1% from the free-throw line - Mishayla Jones grabbed four rebounds against USF to become the fifth player in program history to record 1,000 career points, 400 career rebounds and 300 career assists - CSP held off a big comeback by SMSU to clinch the #3 seed in the South Division - Jones hit a clutch 18 foot jumper with seven seconds left to give Concordia a three point lead - Anna Schmitt and Caitlyn Russell led the way for CSP as they finished with 21 and 20 points, respectively

- The Golden Eagles snapped a six-game losing streak on Friday with an 86-70 win over Minot State University - Minnesota Crookston shot 26-of-56 for 47.3 percent from the field, 11-of-26 for 42.3 percent from three and 23-of-27 for 85.2 percent from the charity stripe - UMC held the lead against U-Mary for all but the final nine seconds of regulation. The Golden Eagles would still force overtime with a Micaela Noga jumper. However, U-Mary would dominate the overtime period 14-8 in order to take the 87-81 win - UMC was 29-of-65 for 44.6 percent, 8-of-21 from three for 38.1 percent and 15-of-17 from the charity stripe for 88.2 percent against U-Mary - The Golden Eagles are the No. 6 seed in the NSIC North. They travel to Concordia-St. Paul, the No. 3 seed in the NSIC South, for the first round of the NSIC/Sanford Health Tournament Wed., Feb. 22 at 7 p.m. at the Gangelhoff Center in St. Paul, Minn. UMC will meet the Golden Bears for the third time in the last five years in the first round of the NSIC Tournament. The Golden Eagles lost 60-45 in the 2013 NSIC/Sanford Health Tournament in St. Paul, Minn. UMC won in their first NSIC/Sanford Health Tournament home game during the 2014-16 season with a 63-62 result Top Performers - Alison Hughes set the school record with 36 points on 9-of-16 from the field, 6-of-10 from three-point range and 12-of-12 from the charity stripe - Hughes' 36 points surpassed the previous record of Jessice Forsline and Karna Plaine. Forsline originally set the record with 34 against Augustana in 2000. She then had 34 against Morningside in 2001. Plaine tallied 34 points in 2002 versus Jamestown. Several players got within one or two points during the 14 seasons in between Plaine and Hughes - Isieoma Odor had 20 points and nine rebounds on 9-of-15 from the field against Minot State - Isieoma Odor had a double-double of 20 points and 13 rebounds versus U-Mary - Caitlin Michaelis tallied 16 points versus U-Mary - Micaela Noga had 14 points and three boards against U-Mary Up Next

She also added 12 points vs. Sioux Falls - Senior Sammie Delzotto reached double-digits in scoring against both Southwest Minnesota State (14) and Sioux Falls (11)
