- Went 3-for-4 with a two-run home run, a walk, two runs scored and four RBIs in the Mavericks’ 8-2 season-opening win over Minnesota Crookston on Saturday night
- Added two putouts from his centerfield position
- Put the Mavericks on the board early as he homered to leftfield as the second batter in the bottom of the first inning

- Minnesota Crookston opened up the season with a 1-2 record after a split with Minot State and an 8-2 loss to No. 23 Minnesota State University-Mankato
- The Golden Eagles struggled at the plate as they hit just .191 on the weekend with nine runs scored and eight RBI
- Minnesota Crookston was strong on the mound as they posted a 4.50 team ERA in 24.0 innings pitched with just 12 earned runs on 36 hits

- Jason Angelo hit .400 in three games with three runs scored, three runs scored and two RBI
- Reed Hjelle batted .400 with three RBI’s and a triple
- Cody Pamperin got a start and went four innings giving up no earned runs with four strikeouts
- Justin Yutrzenka made an outstanding debut, shutting down Minot State in order to get his first career save in two innings pitched. He gave up just two hits and had two strikeouts
- Jayden Grover struck out the side against Minnesota State Saturday night in his one inning of action
