- Defeated No. 5 Logan Hopp on a takedown in overtime for a sudden victory win
- His 3-1 victory in the final match of the dual clinched the come from behind win against No. 19 Upper Iowa
- Improved to 21-7 on the season and 4-0 in NSIC duals
- Augie improves to 5-0 in NSIC duals after the 19-16 win over UIU

- Defeated No. 19 Upper Iowa 19-16 at home on Sunday by winning the last three matches of the dual
- Coach Jason Reitmeier was honored on Sunday for becoming Augustana’s all-time winningest coach earlier this season

- Aero Amo (184) recorded a major victory to kick start the comeback and  Ben Goodwin (197) and Michael Lowman (285) each won overtime matches to seal the dual win
- Oscar Ramirez Jr. (141), Tyler Nation (157) and Mitch Rechtzigel (165) each picked up decisions

- Dane Fischer upset MSUM’s Adam Blees 5-2 at 174 (Blees was ranked third in the region)

- Ben Fichter downed Devan Williams of DSU in a 7-6 decision

- Joe Gomez tallied wins over Jon Solano (10-1) of DSU and Jack Ryan (9-0) of SMSU
- The wins give Gomez the 96th and 97th of his career

- SCSU was ranked No. 1 in the latest DII national poll as a team and nine Huskies were ranked individually in the poll led by #1 Austin Goergen at 285
-   Also ranked were Matt Nelson (#6 at 141), James Pleski (#10 at 149), Vince Dietz (#5 at 197),  Clayton Jennissen (#4 at 174), Uthman Rabiu (#6 at 184), Larry Bomstad (#9 at 157), Brett Velasquez (#5 at 125) and Gabe Fogarty (#10 at 165)
- SCSU returns to action in the always rugged NSIC with a pair of dates this week
- Austin Goergen owns an 20-0 record this season at 285 and Vince Dietz is 21-1 at 197 for the Huskie
- Clayton Jennissen is 20-6  at 174-pounds in 2016-17

- Austin Goergen won a pair of matches in action against Minot State and Minnesota State to improve his record to 20-0 at 285
- Mike Rhone was impressive for the Huskies with a fall against Minot State and a tech fall against Minnesota State at 133
- James Pleski continues to chart strong numbers this season at 149.  He earned a decision win against Minot and a fall against Minnesota State this week

- The Peacock wrestling team dropped their Northern Sun Conference dual at Augustana University 19-16 in a battle of teams tied for 19th in the latest NCAA Division II Coaches Poll
- Each team won four matches heading into the final two bouts; the Vikings took the match thanks to a pair of 3-1 sudden victories
- The loss drops UIU's record to 9-4 overall and 5-2 in the NSIC, while Augie improved to 11-5 overall and remained undefeated in the conference at 5-0
Top Performer(s)
- Maleek Williams(125) and Josh Walker (133) gave Upper Iowa a quick 10-0 lead thanks to a 14-5 major decision by Williams and a second-period pin (4:30) by Walker
- Damian Penichet made it 13-3 in favor of the Peacocks with a 3-0 win at 149 pounds
- Dalton Westerlund earned UIU's final points of the night with a 7-5 win over Lukas Poloncic at 174 pounds
- Ben Goodwin (197) and Michael Lowman (285) both outlasted their Peacock opponents with 3-1 sudden victories
- In the 197 bout, Goodwin and Ryan Parmely both scored an escape prior to overtime and Goodwin hit a takedown to tie the match at 16-16
- In the heavyweight match, Lowman and Logan Hopp each scored an escape and Lowman defended a shot from Hopp and countered to get the match-winning takedown
