NSIC Softball begins league play this week

BURNSVILLE, Minn. - League play in the 2017 NSIC Softball season will get underway this week as the majority of teams will play their travel partners on Tuesday, March 28.  Poor field conditions have pushed two series until later in the week.  Check back to www.NorthernSun.org for the most up-to-date scheduling.

The NSIC Softball league schedule consists of 15 doubleheaders, making up the 30-game schedule.

Minnesota State University, Mankato was the unanimous pick in the 2017 NSIC Preseason Softball Coaches’ Poll.  Minnesota Duluth was second,  Winona State was third, Augustana was fourth and Sioux Falls was fifth in the poll.

For a schedule of today's games, go to the NSIC SCOREBOARD.

Note: No players of the week were selected as the majority of teams were idle last week.
