- Freshman shortstop Patrick Bordewick put together a solid week at the plate as he went 6-15 (.400) with a double, a home run and three RBIs for the week while Connor Olson picked up a team-leading seven hits to finish with a .389 average - Josh Lenz was tremendous in his start at UMD as he allowed just one run on three hits while striking out six in 7.0 innings against the Bulldogs

- Minnesota Crookston had two close games against St. Cloud State on Wednesday but they ultimately fell short 3-0 and 4-1 against the Huskies - The Golden Eagles had a bye week on the weekend but will return to action April 26 on the road against Northern State - Minnesota Crookston is just two wins away from reaching 20 victories in consecutive seasons for the first time in program history - The Golden Eagles set the school record with 25 wins last season - The U of M Crookston is currently in 10th place in the conference standings - They are just one game back of 8th place in the league

- Cody Pamperin had a strong outing on Wednesday against St. Cloud State - Pamperin went seven innings, giving up just one earned run on five hits with seven strikeouts - Zach Seipel got his first career start on Wednesday and went five innings, giving up four runs on seven hits with seven strikeouts - Jayden Grover had a stand-out performance out of the bullpen, shutting down the Huskies in two innings - Justin Yutrzenka shut down St. Cloud State in two innings out of the bullpen. He limited the Huskies to just one hit with three strikeouts - Patrick Higgins broke up a Dominic Austing no hitter on Wednesday against St. Cloud State

- Junior first baseman Tyler Midas batted .556 (5-for-9) while appearing in four of the five games last week and also posted a 1.222 slugging percentage - Belted a homer in back-to-back at bats against Minot State on Sunday and drove in six runs in that 11-4 triumph - Midas now has a team-leading five home runs on the season - Senior third baseman Kyle Hoffman went 3-fo-7 in four games  while senior shortstop Brian Pierce was 5-for-14 and started all five contests - UMD used 12 different pitchers in the five games, including sophomore southpaw Ryan Cunningham, who gave up no runs in 8.0 innings of work while striking out nine - He started and went  seven innings in a 1-0 blanking of Concordia-St. Paul last Wednesday

The Mavericks are 25-0 when out-hitting the opposition - The Maverick offense leads the NSIC in home runs (48) and slugging percentage (.478) - The Minnesota State pitching staff leads the NSIC in ERA (2.57), hits allowed (272), and batting average against (.223) - Minnesota State is tied stop the conference in shutouts (6) and is second with 347 strikeouts

- Senior infielder Eric Peterson batted .389 with a .560 on-base percentage, seven hits, two doubles, one home run, two RBI, 12 total bases and eight runs scored on the week - He led the team in runs scored and doubles - Freshman utility player Teddy Petersen led the Mavericks with a .500 batting average last week - He also led the team in slugging percentage (.800) and on-base percentage (.625) - Junior first baseman Dylan Dresel, who batted .318 with a .375 on-base percentage, seven hits, one double and a .636 slugging percentage, led the Mavericks in home runs (2), total bases (14) and RBI (10) - Senior right-hander Mitchell Bauer finished the week 2-0 to improve his 2017 record to 7-0 - Bauer led the Mavericks in innings pitched 14 1/3 and wins, and was second amongst eligible Mavericks with a .211 batting average against - Junior right-hander Ricky Digrugilliers pitched eight innings in relief with a 1.12 ERA and a .143 batting average against to pick up the victory in the Mavericks’ 11-6 comeback win at Bemidji State on Friday - Junior left-hander Brody Rodning improved to 5-2 in 2017 with a seven-inning complete game in the Mavericks’ 2-1 win at Bemidji State on Friday. Rodning has thrown four complete games in 2017 – the most he has tossed in a season during his collegiate career

USF won 4-of-6 in past week - Through 40 games, USF is hitting .313 as a team, which ranks second in the league - The Cougars have 400 hits (3rd, NSIC) and 263 runs (4th, NSIC) and 99 extra base hits - Last Wednesday, USF threw back to back shutouts (Zak Wallner, 5-0;  Dan Johnson, 11-0) for the first time in 10 years (2007, Doane College) in 5-0 and 14-0 wins against U-Mary - On Sunday, hit a sizzling .471 as a team with 32 hits in 68 at bats and 31 runs, which is a season best in consecutive games - Leading the way for USF was sophomore first baseman Josh Rehwaldt, who had five hits in 10 at bats with five RBI and a stolen base - Cole Sweeney had four hits in seven at bats, including his first career home run in the 20-2 game one win - Over the past six games, USF has scored 60 runs or 10 per game in going 4-2

He allowed 10 hits in 13 innings of work -  Cole Sweeney was 4-of-7 with his first career home run in the DH sweep over Upper Iowa on Sunday.
