BURNSVILLE, Minn. – Check your closets for that old pair of shoes you don’t wear anymore and bring them with to the
NSIC Outdoor Track & Field Championships. The championships will be held on Friday and Saturday, May 12-13 at Sea Foam Stadium on the campus of Concordia University, St. Paul. The NSIC Student Athlete Advisory Committees (SAAC) will be teaming up with World Soles to collect shoes that will be donated to those in need or recycled.
Through the partnership with a shoe re-purposing organization the NSIC will raise funds for Make-A-Wish, while the shoes get distributed to developing nations throughout the world.
Shoes can be dropped off at a designated location near the main entrance at Sea Foam Stadium anytime during the track & field championships. For every pair of shoes donated, 40 cents will be given to Make-A-Wish.
If you want more information about how the shoes will be used, please contact (612) 440- SOLE.
