NSIC Volleyball Players of the Week

NSIC Offensive Player of the Week
#12 Sara Macek (MB, 5-11, Jr., Monticello, Minn. / Monticello High School) - Concordia-St. Paul

- Put up a team-best 4.44 kills per set (40 total kills) with an impressive .583 hitting percentage
- Committed just five errors on 60 swings
- Tallied at least 11 kills and hit at least .435 in all three matches for the Golden Bears
- Set a career best with a .762 hitting percentage against Minot State, good for seventh-best in single-match program history, by going 16-0-21 in the sweep

NSIC Defensive Player of the Week
#14 Jaiden Langlie (L/DS, 5-6, Jr., Fargo, N.D. / Fargo Davies HS) - Northern State

- Led the Wolves defense with 59 digs in their two wins over UIU and WSU
- Averaging a season weekend high of 6.56 digs per set
- Tallied a career high 34 digs, averaging 8.5 per set, in the win over Upper Iowa
- Led the team against the Warriors with 25 digs, averaging 5.00 per set
- Added five assists and one service ace

NSIC Setter of the Week
#4 Emily Torve (S, 5-8, Jr., Loretto, Minn. / Heritage Christian Academy) - Minnesota Duluth

- Dished out 130 assists and averaged 13.0 assists per set
- Guided the offense to 16.1 kills per set over the course the week
- Directed UMD to a .275 hitting percentage going against two top-10 clubs
- Compiled 38 assists, nine digs and three blocks over No. 3 CSP and helped the Bulldogs sweep the Bears for the first time since Oct. 11, 2014
- Also chipped in 2.20 digs per set and 0.50 blocks per set
- Moved into eighth on UMD’s all-time list with 3,530 set assists
- Currently leads all active collegiate volleyball players with 12.05 assists per set

- The Golden Bears collected an extremely efficient .338 with 135 kills compared to 36 errors on the week while holding opponents to 102 kills, 47 errors and a .192 hitting percentage
- In Saturday’s sweep of Minot State, CSP set a single-match school record with a .600 hitting percentage as they committed just three errors compared to 51 kills on 80 swings in the match

- Sara Macek was consistently dominant as she collected at least 11 kills while hitting .435 or better in all three matches to finish with 4.44 kills per set and a .583 hitting percentage for the week
- Elizabeth Mohr orchestrated an efficient CSP offense with 12.78 assists per set (115 total assists) to go along with 16 digs over the three matches
