NSIC Women's Basketball Players of the Week


NSIC North Division Player of the Week
#24 Kiley Borowicz (G, 5-8, So., Roseau, Minn. / Roseau HS) - MSU Moorhead

- Averaged 17.0 points, 4.0 rebounds and 4.0 assists in wins at the Cherry Creek Holiday Inn Classic
- Connected on 6-of-12 three-pointers on the week
- Had 14 points and a season-high seven rebounds in a 62-41 win over Metro State
- Added a season-high 20 points to go with five assists in a 74-61 win over Colorado Christian

NSIC South Division Player of the Week
# 40 Lindsay Dorr (C, 6-2, Sr., Otsego, Minn. / Rogers HS) - Concordia-St. Paul

- Averaged 22.5 points and 11 rebounds in two victories for the Golden Bears
- Shot 55.6% from the field (20-of-36) and ranks second in the NSIC with a season FG% of 61.8%
- Led the Golden Bears to their fourth straight win, scoring 23 points, grabbing 13 rebounds, and collecting a block and a steal in a 76-59 win over Jamestown
- Scored 22 points with nine boards in a 63-61 win over Northern Michigan
- Increased her season scoring average to 21.4 (1st NSIC) and her rebounding average to 9.4 (5th NSIC)

 
Augustana University Vikings

- Augustana finished with a team single game high 63 rebounds against UPRB, the last time over 50 rebounds happened was 52 vs. Lake Superior State (11/25/17)
- Overall the Vikings had 11 student-athletes get into the scoring column and Izzy Van Veldhuizen led the way with 15 points, one assist, and three steals
- A double digit scorer for the Vikings is Hana Metoxen, she dropped 14 points in the win
- Metoxen had a great performance in San Juan with a career-high with 14 points
- Her previous highest was 11 vs Minnesota State on Jan. 5, 2018

- Lynsey Prosser led all columns with a double-double performance vs UPR Bayamon
- The senior guard grabbed 13 rebounds and tallied 19 points, going 8 of 17 from the field
- The Sturgis, S.D. native also dishes out six assists in 33 minutes of action in the Puerto Rico Classic
- Abby Hora also found herself in the scoring column with 16 points
- Hora went 6 of 11 from the field, but more impressive, she went 3 of 5 from beyond the arc
- In her 29 minutes of action she also dished out four assists and grabbed four rebounds

- Valley City State jumped out to a 19-9 lead to put Bemidji State in an early deficit
- The Beavers trailed by one point multiple times in the fourth quarter
- BSU outscored VCSU from the bench, 16-7
- Bemidji State shot 37.5 percent (21-56) from the field, 14.3 percent (3-21) from 3-point range and 66.7 percent (16-24) from the free throw line
Top Performer(s)
- Sophomore guard Maria Appicelli scored at least 20 points for the second time this season on 7-of-16 shooting from the field
- Appicelli was the only Beavers to finish with double-digit scoring at 23 points while adding three rebounds and one assist
- Freshman forward Claire Wolhowe led BSU with six rebounds, all defensive

- Ellie Gess came off the bench against Northern Michigan and put up 20 points, making 4-6 threes and shooting 4-4 from the free-throw line
- Anna Schmitt had two season highs with 19 points and six assists in the win over Jamestown (N.D.)

- Isieoma Odor has moved to eighth all-time on the career scoring list with 1,101 points, surpassing Stephanie Mayclin
- Odor needs six points to move past Micaela Noga in seventh place
- Odor has also moved to third all-time with 602 career rebounds, surpassing Emily Gruber
- Odor needs 94 rebounds to move past Laurie Tyson for second all-time
- Isieoma Odor and Caitlin Michaelis were named to the All-Lynda Goodrich Classic Team in Bellingham, Wash.

- Every single Husky that played scored in the 68 point victory, including three student-athletes in double-digits
- Katrina Theis scored a career-high and team-leading 13 points in the victory, while Tori Wortz and Madelin Dammann added 11 and 10 points
- St. Cloud State shot .521 from the floor, .423 from three-point range and .833 from the charity stripe in the game while holding Northland to .256 shooting from the floor, .091 from beyond the arc and .545 from the free throw line
- The Lumber Jills also committed 27 turnovers (17 steals for SCSU) while the Huskies committed a season-low 11

- The Peacocks have won three of their last four contests and surpassed last season's win total just seven games into the season
- Upper Iowa outrebounded opponents 139-116 over the week with 51 of those coming against UPR-Rio Piedras. Sagrado Corazón was the only team to edge UIU in total boards (43-42)

- Savannah Domeyer recorded her first career double-double against UNH with 22 points off 10-for-12 shooting and 12 rebounds; added 4 blocks and 1 steal 
- Domeyer finished the week with 44 points (67.9% FG), 25 rebounds, 9 blocks, and 5 steals - all team-highs
- Bekka Pierson posted her first career double-double against UPR-Rio Piedras with 17 points and 12 boards; finished the week with 29 points and 18 rebounds
- Natalie Dinius converted 3 triples in each contest this week to finish in double-digits all three games. Dinius also added 14 rebounds and eight assists
- Haley Martin contributed 19 points and 23 rebounds while Emma Gaber chipped in 24 points and 8 rebounds
