Minot State

- Helped Minot State to its first series win over Minnesota State since joining the NSIC
- Batted .429 (6-of-14) with two doubles and two home runs, three runs scored and six RBIs
- Hit his NSIC-leading fifth and sixth home runs of the season to secure a 4-2 win in game two and 7-1 victory in the third game of series
- Notched a 1.000 slugging percentage and .500 on base percentage while recording a 1.000 fielding percentage with 33 putouts on the weekend

- Moved to 3-1 on the year with an ERA of 2.25 and is second on the team and fourth in the NSIC with 34 strikeouts

- Carter Schmidt paced the squad with three hits in seven trips to go along with a walk in the doubleheader

- The Marauders have gone through a streak of losing three out of five games in walk-off fashion
- UMary posted a .305 (39-of-128) batting average with a .378 on base percentage in its four games at UIU
- UMary had four extra base hits to nine for UIU
- UMary is fourth in the NSIC in hitting with a .301 batting average and fifth in on base percentage (.378)
Top Performer(s)
- Connor Doll hit .385/.500./.462 last weekend against Upper Iowa with two runs scored and four RBIs plus a double; he posted career-highs with a 3-hit, 3-RBI game
- Travis Stevens had his second 3-hit game of the season and was 5-for-15 on the weekend
- He drove in three runs during the weekend series and his .485 on base percentage for the season is fourth in the NSIC
- Jesus Payan finished the weekend 5-for-15 with a double, a run scored and two RBIs
- He is fourth in the NSIC with a .424 batting average

- In game two, early errors doomed the Golden Eagles in a 6-0 loss

- Senior LHP Marcus Frederickson continues to show why he is the go-to starter on the team after a 6.1 inning, two-run (both unearned) win against Wayne State College
- Frederickson allowed just three hits, two coming in the seventh inning, no walks and eight strikeouts
- Freshman outfielder Henry George slashed .313 in four starts against the Wildcats, leading the team with five hits in the series, including a double
- George also led the team with three runs scored

- The Maverick pitching staff recorded a 4.78 ERA, one shutout, a .248 batting average against, 29 strikeouts and six walks in 32 innings pitched
- Head Coach Matt Magers currently has 398 wins as the head coach at Minnesota State

- Sophomore infielder Tommy McDonald batted .500 (6-of-12) on the week with a .625 on-base percentage, .667 slugging percentage, four walks, two doubles, two runs scored and two RBI
- Senior right-hander Dalton Roach pitched a seven-inning shutout in the Mavericks’ 1-0 win over the Beavers
- Roach held the opposition to a .087 batting average, while striking out six and walking two
- With the performance, Roach improved to 4-0 and lowered his season ERA to 1.80

- Four Beavers tallied four or more hits on the weekend while three hit over .300 on the weekend
- The Minot State pitching staff held the Mavericks to a .273 batting average while surrendering 14 runs and striking out 27 Minnesota State batters

- In 15 2/3 innings of relief pitching, Cougars allowed just two runs and 10 hits in the four games against the Warriors

- For the second straight outing, freshman right hander Brandon Roesler threw a complete game with his first career shutout in a 14-0 win over Winona State on March 22
- He has registered back-to-back complete games, facing 25 batters and tossing 89 pitches as he won the run-rule shortened game
- Roesler sits 2-2 on the season with a 4.26 ERA with 14 strikeouts, seven walks and 27 hits allowed in 25 1/3 inning
- Senior Josh Rehwaldt had seven hits in 17 at bats and hit .412 against Winona State, among his seven hits was a grand slam in USF’s 14-0 game two win
- He also collected five RBI and is hitting .429 on the season with three home runs and 14 RBIs, a .586 slugging mark and .468 OBP
- Senior Dylan Gavin had seven hits in 15 at bats for a .466 batting average
- Junior right hander Spencer Dokken lowered his earned run after to 2.70 on the season after 7 1/3 innings of relief, allowing four hits and one run and five strikeouts in two appearances
- Anthony Reese had a solid outing out of the bull pen with 5 2/3 innings of shutout relief, allowing six hits while registering three strikeouts

- St. Cloud State extended their winning streak to three after a Sunday sweep over Concordia-St. Paul
- SCSU snapped CSP’s 47.1 consecutive scoreless inning streak as well as a six game-streak of recording a shutout, when the Huskies scored in the first inning of the first game of the series
- The Huskies went on to win 11-1 in the second game of the series
- Caeden Harris is leading the conference in batting average (.460), second in slugging percentage (.714) second in triples (4), third in on-base percentage (.500) and fourth in hits (29)
- Jackson Goplen and Harris both rank in the top 10 of the NSIC in RBI’s and stolen bases

- Mat Meyer had five RBIs in game two and recorded his first home run of the season when he put the Huskies up 11-0 in the seventh with a grand slam
- Jackson Goplen added three RBIs in the first game of the series
- Goplen put the Huskies up 4-1 in the 13th inning after a three-run homerun
- Dom Austing, in seven innings of work, struck out four, walked none and only allowed one earned run on six hits
- Matthew Osterberg, after allowing one hit in the first inning of the game,  held CSP hit-less and scoreless until the seventh inning
- Osterberg went six strong and did not allow an earned run while striking out seven
- Nathan Strobel showed his ability to pitch with the game on the line, stranding five runners that all represented the winning run during extra-inning play of the first game
- He tallied four scoreless innings and struck out four in his appearance

- Conner Klostermann hit .500 in the four games with 8 hits including a pair of doubles; his double in the ninth inning of game two allowed the Peacocks to score the game winning run
- Dominic Hillesheim led the team in batting average in the series (.538) with 7 singles; the right fielder picked up 4 RBIs and scored twice
- Tony Salato (.462), Hans Alwin (.400), Callahan Seehase (.375) and Zackary Cain (.313) all hit the ball well for the series
- Emmett Kulick came up with his only hit of the series at just the right time; the junior outfielder posted the game winning single in game three capping off a five-run eighth to win in extra innings
