- Batted .563 (9-of-16) with a .588 on-base percentage, an .813 slugging percentage, 13 total bases, one walk, one double, one home run, six RBIs and four runs scored as MSU swept CSP and UMD
- Hit first home run as a Maverick in game two against CSP last Thursday
- Reached base in all four Maverick wins and tallied three multi-hit games, including four hits in game two against CSP
- Added three hits in game one against UMD on Monday
- Raised season batting average from .338 to .383
- Drove in at least one run in each game and had one three-RBI game
- Tallied 28 put-outs and one assist for a 1.000 fielding percentage at first base

NSIC Pitcher of the Week

- Threw eight scoreless innings in a 2-1 win over No. 3 Augustana
- Allowed just three hits and no walks while striking out six of the 28 batters he faced
- Did not allow a hit over the first 4.2 innings
- The eight innings pitched was his longest outing of the season

- Tyler Mitzel recorded his second straight complete game shutout in a win against U-Mary
- Against SCSU, David Flattery went seven innings with eight strikeouts and Jacob Blank went six innings with four strikeouts with each earning no decisions
- Lucas Wylie hit .429 (3-for-7) with two home runs and three RBI during the week
- Sam Baier was 5-for-15 with one RBI and three stolen bases
- Michael Svozil added three stolen bases to his NSIC leading total of 19

- CSP was limited to just 10 hits in 54 at-bats (.185) while scoring just three runs in the two games against the Mavericks
- The Golden Bears struggled in the field with six errors, resulting in nine unearned runs over the two game span

- Mickey Leius drove in all three runs against MSU as he hit a two-run homer in game one before adding an RBI triple in game two
- Zach Lauzon worked 6.1 innings while allowing just one earned run on five hits while striking out eight in the game two start
- Gus Varland allowed one earned run over 4.0 innings while allowing three hits and picking up four strikeouts in game one

- The Marauders took their home games on the road last weekend, playing Minnesota Crookston midweek in Watford City, N.D., and switching sites with #3 Augustana last weekend, though the Marauders and Vikings could only play two of the four scheduled games
- The Marauders have slipped to eighth in the NSIC in batting average after facing strong pitching last week
- UMary is hitting .278 with a .355 on base percentage. The Marauders are second in the NSIC in steals with 39

- Colin Gudereit pitched a complete game against #3 Augustana, limiting the Vikings to five hits over seven innings in a 3-0 loss
- He struck out two and walked two
- In his first year with UMary, it is Gudereit’s first complete game of his Marauders career. UMary had two other complete games this season, both by Jake Johnson
- Charles Bielejeski pitched three scoreless innings of relief against UMC, allowing just two hits and a walk; he also struck out one
- Ian Fisher, in his first season with the Marauders, made two appearances out of the bullpen and retired all four batters he faced
- Jaxon Ford is fourth in the NSIC in steals with 12 and seventh in walks (16)
- Jesus Payan is eighth in the NSIC in hitting this season with a .394 batting average
- His hitting line for the season is .394/.435/.455 with six doubles, 18 RBIs and 15 runs scored
- The doubles and RBIs are team-highs

- Tyler Midas continued his strong start to the season with a 3-for-4 performance against Southwest Minnesota State, including a three-run home run and a RBI double in game one of the doubleheader
- MIdas struck out just one time in eight at-bats during the series, while working a pair of walks – one leading to a run scored
- Midas totaled four hits (two singles, one double and one home run), five RBI (a season-high for a series), and four runs
- Against Minnesota State, he broke up a perfect game with a 2-out single in the fourth inning (in game one of doubleheader)

- Four Mavericks batted over .300 on the week: sophomore infielder Ty Buck (.563), sophomore infielder Teddy Petersen (.500), senior catcher Noah Bluth (.429), and sophomore infielder Tommy McDonald (.375)
- The Maverick pitching staff recorded a 1.20 ERA, one shutout, a .162 batting average against, 26 strikeouts and 8 walks in 30 innings pitched

- Sophomore infielder Ty Buck batted .563 (9-of-16) with a .588 on-base percentage, .813 slugging percentage, one walk, one double, one home run, six RBIs and four runs scored in four games
- Buck’s home run – his first in a Maverick uniform – came in game two against Concordia-St. Paul on Thursday
- He reached base in all four Maverick wins and tallied three multi-hit games

- Senior right-hander Quinn Ahern (3-1) was the winning pitcher in the Mavericks 3-1 win in game one against Minnesota Duluth on Monday
- Ahern limited the Bulldogs to one run on three hits, while striking out four and walking none, in a seven-inning complete game
- Ahern retired the first 11 batters of the game and faced the minimum through five innings against the Bulldogs
- He recorded a 1.29 ERA and a 0.43 WHIP
- Ahern, who lowered his season ERA from 2.17 to 2.00, now has an 8.5:1 strikeout-to-walk ratio on the season

- USF’s last four-game winning streak in the NSIC was May 1-4, 2016
- In two games against UMC, USF's bullpen included six pitchers who hurled 5 1/3 innings and allowed just four hits and no runs with four strikeouts

- Junior Josh Rehwaldt hit .429 (3-of-7) with two doubles, and two RBI; ranks second in NSIC in hitting at .439, and slugging pct., at .673 while sitting third in on-base percentage at .486 and fourth with 43 hits
- Freshman Grant Lung had two hits in four at bats with three runs and three RBI and a stolen base
- Alex Elizondo hit .429 with three hits in seven at bats against Minnesota Crookston
- Senior Dylan Gavin improved to 3-3 by allowing just five hits and a run with two strikeouts in six innings of work as he won his second straight decision with his fifth performance of six innings or more this season
- He has not allowed more than three hits in any of his starts and just one run or less in four starts

- Freshman Jake Hendricks had two hits in the doubleheader, including his first career home run
- Sophomore Ben Heichel hit a home run in game two and has three on the season. He leads the team with a .554 slugging percentage
- Senior Shane Sellner is batting a team-best .349 and has 15 RBIs
- Freshman John Bezdicek has an ERA of 2.53 in six starts, the lowest ERA among starting pitchers. He is 2-3 on the season and has a team-high 42 strikeouts

- The silence was broken in the top of the ninth inning after SCSU scored the eventual game-winning runs on a single and an Augustana error
- SCSU was walked off in the bottom of the ninth of the second game from a bases-loaded walk
- Sunday’s double-header against Wayne State was cancelled due to low feel temperatures and snow showers
- SCSU recorded sweep on Saturday to win the series against WSC
- The Huskies currently sit fifth in the NSIC rankings

- Dom Austing (8 IP, 0 ER, 3 H, 0 BB, 6 K’s) carried a no-hitter through his first 4.2 innings and did not allow a run in his longest outing of the year at Augustana
- Kyle Boser (8 IP, 1 ER, 6 H, 2 BB, 5 K’s) made an appearance in the ninth, where the sole earned run was scored after being relieved
- Shannon Ahern (7 IP, 0 ER, 4 H, 2 BB, 4 K’s) threw a complete game with the only Wildcat run being unearned in the top of the first
- Aaron Hammann (8 IP, 2 ER, 4 H, 6 BB, 7 K’s) entered the game in the second inning and went the distance for SCSU in the second game against WSC
- Mat Meyer had six hits on the week with 2 RBIs and two doubles
- Bo Schmitz had three RBIs on three hits in game two against Wayne State
- Caeden Harris recorded the sole RBI in SCSU’s game one win over Augustana
