BURNSVILLE, Minn. - The pairings for the 2018 NSIC Women's Tennis Tournament are set as the 11-match NSIC schedule has concluded.  Augustana, which won its ninth straight NSIC regular season championship, will be the number one seed in the eight-team single elimination tournament, which will take place on Saturday and Sunday, April 21-22 at the Lifetime Fitness in Minnetonka, Minn. The Vikings will take on the eighth seed, University of Mary on Saturday, April 22 at 2 p.m.
 
Augustana has won 99 straight NSIC matches, with its last loss coming back on April 19, 2009 to Minnesota State.  Since joining the NSIC in 2008-09, the Viking are 106-3 in NSIC matches, have won nine straight NSIC regular season titles and the last seven NSIC Tournaments. The Vikings has won their last 19 NSIC Tournament matches as well.
 
Other first round matchups have second seeded Winona State versus seventh seeded Minnesota State on Saturday, April 21 at 9 a.m. Third seeded MSU Moorhead will take on sixth seeded Sioux Falls at 11:30 a.m. with the final match of the day being fourth seeded Bemidji State versus fifth seeded Minnesota Duluth at 4:30 p.m. All match start times are subject to change if earlier matches run long. No matches will begin early than announced start time. 
 
Both semifinal matches will be play Sunday, April 22 at 8 a.m. with the championship match set for noon. 

The NCAA Central Region is comprised of the 29 teams from the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (12), Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association (MIAA) (10), and the Great American Conference (GAC) (7). The post season tournament winner from each conference receives an automatic bid to the NCAA Central Region Tournament on April 28-29 and will be joined by the next three highest ranked teams in the final rankings. Two teams from each of the eight regions will advance to the final site, which will be played May 8-11 at Surprise Tennis Complex in Surprise, Arizona. The NCAA women's tennis selections will be announced on Tuesday, April 24 at www.NCAA.com.

TIE-BREAKERS -  BSU earned the fourth seed as they had the least amount of matches lost in the three way tie with UMD and USF.
UMD earned the fifth seed over USF via its head-to-head win.
