NSIC Elite 18 Award
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - Concordia-St. Paul’s
Adam Hildebrandt was named the 2018 NSIC Elite 18 Award winner for baseball. Hildebrandt was presented the award prior to the Golden Bears opening round game in the
NSIC Baseball Tournament, which is taking place Wednesday-Saturday at Karras Park and Sioux Falls Stadium in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Hildebrandt is the first Golden Bear to earn the NSIC Elite 18 Award.
Hildebrandt is a senior majoring in biology and holds a 3.98 grade point average. The North St. Paul native is batting .353 for CSP this season with 12 hits in 34 at bats. He has scored ten runs and drove in four after starting in nine and playing in 18 games this season. He was also a recipient of the 2017-18
Butch Raymond Scholarship, sponsored by Sanford Health.
As part of the NSIC 25th Anniversary celebration during the 2016-17 academic year, the NSIC Elite 18 Award was instituted to recognize the true essence of the student-athlete by honoring the individual who has reached the pinnacle of competition at the NSIC Championship level in his or her sport, while also achieving the highest academic standard among his or her peers. The NSIC Elite 18 award is presented to the student-athlete with the highest cumulative grade-point average participating at the finals site for each of the NSIC’s 18 Championships.
