NSIC Volleyball Players of the Week

NSIC Offensive Player of the Week
#3 Brooklyn Lewis (OH, 5-10, Sr., Kasson, Minn. / Kasson-Mantorville HS) - Concordia-St. Paul
- Led the team with 6.00 kills per set (36 total kills) while hitting an efficient .470 on the weekend
- Was nearly unstoppable in Saturday’s sweep of WSU as she finished with 22 kills (7.33 per set) and just two hitting errors (.526 hitting percentage) while also tacking on four blocks (1.33 per set)
- Has reached double figures in kills in nine of 10 matches, including three with 20 or more, putting her second in the league in kills and seventh in hitting percentage

NSIC Defensive Player of the Week
#4 Tarrin Beller  (MH, 6-0, Jr., Humphrey, Neb. / Humphrey HS) - Wayne State
- Averaged 2.10 kills and 2.00 blocks per set last weekend
- Tied single-game school record with 13 blocks in a 3-2 win versus USF
- Added 12 kills and seven blocks in 3-2 home loss to No. 7 SMSU
- Leads NSIC in blocks per set at 1.36.

NSIC Setter of the Week
#5 Emma Thomssen (S, 5-8, So., Lincoln, Neb. / Northeast HS) - Southwest Minnesota State
-Recorded a career-high 61 assists in the match versus WSC
- Averaged 13.67 assists per set as SMSU hit .260 as a team
- Averages 11.92 assists per set on the season

- Opened NSIC play at No. 6 Minnesota Duluth, falling to the Bulldogs, 3-0 - Faced St. Cloud State in its home opening match Saturday, Sept. 8 and fell to the Huskies in a close five-setter - Lost by two points in the final set to SCSU after trailing 11-4 in the set to battle back

- Sophomore Anna Averkamp led the Beavers with 23 kills (2.88/s) and hit .236 over eight sets - Junior Julie Touchett led the Beavers by hitting .290 over the two matches and totaled 11 kills (1.38/s) while also totaling six blocks - Senior Maddie Filipiak led the team by totaling 11 blocks (2s-9a) for a 1.38 per set average - Freshman Mary Campbell stepped up to fill a need at the setting position to lead the Beavers with 57 assists (7.12 a/s)

- The Golden Bears improved to 15-1 in NSIC openers under Brady Starkey with the sweep of UIU - CSP averaged an impressive 15.2 kills per set (91 total) and a .277 hitting percentage while holding their opponents to 11.67 kills per set (70 total) and a .159 hitting percentage - Concordia also managed a 10-4 edge in service aces, a 13.0-10.0 edge in total blocks and a 117-112 edge in digs on the weekend

- Brooklyn Lewis put up a huge weekend with 6.00 kills per set (36 total) and a .470 hitting percentage, capped off by an incredible 22-kill performance in the sweep of WSU - Elizabeth Mohr assisted on 81 of the team’s 92 kills (13.67 per set) while also pacing the team with five service aces (0.83 per set)
