NCAA Interactive Bracket
 
INDIANAPOLIS– The NCAA has announced the eight teams that will compete at the central region women's basketball tournament and the NSIC will have two teams continuing their seasons.  MSU Moorhead and Minnesota Duluth each earned a spot in the NCAA post-season tournament which will take place on March 15-16, 18. Game times will be announced later in the week.

MSU Moorhead (26-6) the NSIC regular season champion, will take on the NSIC/Sanford Health Tournament Champions of Minnesota Duluth (23-6) in the first round. It will be a rematch of the NSIC Tournament Championship game which UMD won 52-48.

UMD, Fort Hays State and  Southwestern Oklahoma State each earned automatic bids to the NCAA Central Region Tournament with their conference tournament championships.  The NSIC, the Great American Conference (GAC) and the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association (MIAA) make up the NCAA Central Region again this year.

The NCAA Women’s Basketball Elite 8 will take place on March 26-27, 29 at the Alumni Hall in Columbus, Ohio.
