NSIC Elite 18 Award

Riley Duncanson of St. Cloud State University was named the 2019 NSIC Elite 18 Award winner for men’s golf. Duncanson was presented the award during the post championship ceremony at the
NSIC Men’s Golf Championship, which was held the past three days at Shoal Creek Golf Course in Kansas City, Missouri. Duncanson is the sixth student-athlete from St. Cloud State to earn the NSIC Elite 18 Award.
Duncanson is a senior majoring in communication arts and literature and holds a 3.95 grade point average. The Brandon, South Dakota, native holds an 76.2 stroke average this season over 17 rounds. His low round this season was 70 during the Bemidji State Invite on September 9. Duncanson finished tied for 29th at the NSIC Championship.
As part of the NSIC 25th Anniversary celebration, the NSIC Elite 18 Award was instituted to recognize the true essence of the student-athlete by honoring the individual who has reached the pinnacle of competition at the NSIC Championship level in his or her sport, while also achieving the highest academic standard among his or her peers. The NSIC Elite 18 award is presented to the student-athlete with the highest cumulative grade-point average participating at the finals site for each of the NSIC’s 18 Championships.
