NSIC Women's Golfer of the Week
Lexi Hanson (Jr., Chanhassen, Minn. / Chanhassen HS)
Sioux Falls
- Captured the MIAA Invite with a program-best total of 141 with rounds of 74 and 67
- Won her first ever title and carded a 67 which is her PR and also the best in USF program history by four shots
- Won the event by two-strokes, finishing three-under-par
- Led USF to second place at the MIAA Invite, which is the team's top second consecutive runner-up team finish
Other Top Performances
Alex Stone (AUGIE) took first place at the
Ramada Mustang Invite with a two-round score of E (144). She shot a first-round score of 74 and followed it up with a 70 on the final day to take home the title. Stone tied the Mustang Invite record with a 2-under 70 on Sunday to take home her second straight first-place honor. Stone also tied the tournament record with an even-par 144 for two rounds.
Hannah Hankinson (AUGIE) placed second at the Ramada Mustang Invite with a two-round score of 150. She shot a first-round score of 72 and followed it up with a 78 on the final day to take runner-up honors. Hankinson finished with a +6 which was one ahead of the third-place finisher at +7.
Miriam Dumes (MINOT) finished alone in third at the Ramada Mustang Invite with a rounds of 76 and 75 to finish at 151, seven-over-par.
Lexi Jonas (USF) set a career-low of 74 at the MIAA Invite on day one and matched that total on day two with another 74 as she carded a career-best 148. With that mark, Jonas grabbed a top-10 finish as she tied for seventh. Like Hanson, Jonas had eight birdies and an eagle.
