NSIC Women's Track Athlete of the Week
Ida Narbuvoll  (Sr., Narbuvoll, Norway / RØROS VIDEREGÅENDE SKOLE)
University of Mary

- Won the mile at the Bison Open with a provisional time of 4:48.34
- The converted time of 4:45.52 ranks third in Division II this season
- Won the event by nearly 11 seconds
- Has already automatically qualified for nationals in the 5K earlier this season
- Named NSIC Athlete of the Week for the second time this season (12/10/19)

NSIC Women's Field Athlete of the Week
Mckenzie Scheil (Throws, So., Fairmont, Neb. / Fillmore Central HS)
Wayne State

- Threw personal bests in the shot put and weight throw for NCAA provisional marks at two meets over the weekend
- Broke the 60 foot mark in weight throw Friday night at Husker Invite taking third overall at 61-0.5 (18.72m)
- Saturday in the Dakota Realty Meet at South Dakota, took first in the weight throw at 62-2.25 (18.95m)
- Ranks fourth in NCAA Division II in the weight throw
- Had a provisional mark in shot put Saturday with toss of 47-0.25 (14.33m) to finish second
- Shot put mark ranks 16th in NCAA Division II

Other Top Track Performances
Nicolette Schmidt  (AUGIE) led the Vikings in their podium sweep of the 3,000-meter race with a first-place finish and a personal best time of 10:08.10.
Ja'Cey Simmons (MSU) won the 60m dash at the Ted Nelson Classic with a time of 7.49; The provisional time is good for the fourth best time in Division II and is a personal best.
Ashlyn Jones (SMSU) tied for second in the high jump with a school record 1.67m at the Ted Nelson Classic in Mankato. The mark is a NCAA provisional mark and ranks tied for 27th in Division II this season.

Other Top Field Performances
Mearah Miedema  (AUGIE) placed third in the high jump this weekend at the NDSU Bison Open with a height of 1.63m (5-4.25).
Zoe Christensen (BSU) threw the conference's best shot put at the Lake Superior Challenge; Ranks fourth in the central region and eighth in NCAA Division II with a shot put of 48-09 (14.86m); Took first-place in the shot put and the weight throw, hitting an NCAA provisional mark in both; Shot put ranks sixth all-time at BSU and weight throw toss of 56-07.50 (17.26m) ranks fourth all-time.
Hannah Gustafson (CSP) broke her own school record in the weight throw with a toss of 61-5; Took third place at the Ted Nelson Classic behind the 2nd and 4th ranked Division II throwers in the nation; Ranks seventh in the nation with her National Provisional Qualifying Mark; Improved her previous personal record by 1-0.75 while collecting her third top-five finish of the indoor season.
D'Andra Morris  (UMary) won two events at the NDSU Bison Open, both with NCAA provisional qualifying marks;  posted a season-best mark of 1.68 meters in the high jump; the All-American then sailed 11.68 meters in the triple jump; ranks 21st in the country in the high jump and 7th in the triple jump; tops the NSIC leaderboard in both categories.
Katie Taylor (MSU) won both the weight throw and the shot put at the Ted Nelson Classic; Her weight throw was 18.83m. The weight throw featured 6 of the top 12 finishes in DII this season; Her throw in the shot put was 14.63m, good enough for the 11th best throw in DII this season.
Kealy Hill  (NSU) won the pole vault at the NDSU Bison Open, breaking her own school record with a mark of 3.96m; She cleared the height on her second attempt of the meet; Ranks seventh in the nation in the event, just 0.05m off the automatic qualifying mark; Recorded her fourth pole vault event crown of the 2019-20 season.
Jaimie McNamee  (USF) recorded a weight throw mark of 18.81m (61-08.5) at the Ted Nelson Classic, setting a school record; Broke her own record of 17.60m (57-09) set just one week prior at the Mark Schuck Open & Multis; Ranks fourth in the NSIC and sixth in NCAA Division II; Currently holds a NCAA Provisional Mark.
