Lou Filippi – SCSU Hall of Fame Class of 1982
Filippi was nationally recognized for his athletic abilities at SCSU in the early 1940's earning 14 letters in football, basketball, baseball and track. In 1941, he was named to the Little All-American football team, the first SCSU player to be so honored. After graduation, Louis was a Big Ten conference basketball official for 11 years. He also officiated at the Minnesota State High School Boys' Basketball Tournament seven consecutive years and in 1951 at the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics Tournament in Kansas City, Missouri.
