Bemidji State

Arnold Johnson was a three sport athlete while attending Bemidji State from 1938-42. He lettered in football, basketball, and track and field. In 1942, he became the first Beaver to earn All-American honors as a basketball player. Arnold lead the team to three NAIA tourney appearances. Following his BSU athletic career, he played seven years in NBA career with the Rochester Royals. During that time he was a part of three divisional and one NBA title in 1951. After his NBA career he became a successful Businessman.
