Earl "Bud" Myers  (Track & Field)
 
St. Joseph, Mich., native coached MSU teams for 31 years and captured a combined 25 Northern Intercollegiate (NIC) and North Central (NCC) Conference titles during that time.

His cross country teams reached the national meet 23 consecutive years and, in addition to gaining second-place finishes in 1960 and 1968, finished lower than tenth only twice during that span. He also coached the MSU football team four years (1949, 1950, 1951, 1952), during which they won three conference titles. Myers was president of the National Collegiate Track Coaches Association from 1969-72 and the meet referee for the NCAA Division II national track and field championships in 1977. Myers, after which MSU's field house is named, is a member of the Minnesota State University, Mankato and NIC Halls of Fame.

Coach Myers earned an undergraduate degree from Western Michigan and had a master's degree from Michigan State.
