Matt Schneck helped St. Cloud State University men’s basketball make an immediate impact when it re-joined the NSIC in the 2008-09 season.  The Huskies tied for third in the regular season in the 2008-09 season and went on to win the 2009 NSIC Tournament.  In the 2009-10 season, the Huskies finished second in the league standings and won its second straight tournament title as Schneck was named All-NSIC First Team, NSIC Player of the Year and tournament most valuable player.  SCSU set a team record for most wins in a season with 29 (29-6) in 2009-10.
Schneck played in 115 career games for the Huskies, scoring 1,608 points and ranking fifth all-time at SCSU with 909 rebounds. He holds the SCSU single season record for free-throws attempted (295), free-throws made (197) and rebounds (386); all coming during the 2009-10 season. 
Schneck earned NABC, Daktronics and DII Bulletin All-American honors in 2009-10 as he led the Huskies to the National Semifinals, following NCAA Central Region Tournament most valuable player honors. He earned NCAA Elite 8 All-Tournament Team honors after he averaged 22.5 points and 15 rebounds over the two games. 
Schneck excelled in the classroom as well, as he earned CoSIDA Academic All-District honors in 2008 and 2010 and was a three-time All-Academic team member. He was also a member of the SCSU student athlete advisory committee, where he helped organize team community service activities along with team meetings and team dinners.
Following SCSU, Schneck played professional basketball in the British Basketball League (BBL) for three seasons. He currently resides in Madison, Wisconsin where he is the Director of Sales for ABODO.com.
