BEMIDJI, Minn. - Two late free throws from junior Shannon Thompson (G, Rosemount, Minn.) handed the Bemidji State University women's basketball team a 72-71 victory against Minnesota State University, Mankato Friday to end an eight-game losing streak. In the process the Beavers snapped MSU's eight-game win streak to improve to 6-11 overall and 4-8 in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference. The Mavericks are now 12-4 overall and 8-4 in the NSIC.
