Winona State (6-1, 3-0 South) at Wayne State (4-3, 1-2 South) - 1 p.m.

Wayne, Neb. - Rayon Simmons rushed for 133 yards and a touchdown to become the NSIC's all-time leading rusher as the Winona State football team posted a 17-13 victory over Wayne State Saturday in Wayne, Neb. Simmons, who entered the game needing 94 yards to become the conference's career rushing leader, set the record midway through the fourth quarter. The Warrior senior passed former Concordia-St. Paul standout Chris Washington (2000-03) to become the most accomplished runner in league history. Simmons now has 4,255 yards during conference games in his career. Simmons also passed the 1,000 yard mark for the third consecutive season, the only player in Winona State history with three straight seasons with at least 1,000 rushing yards. Northern State (3-4, 2-1 North) at Bemidji State (4-3, 3-0 North) - 1 p.m.

Bemidji, Minn. - A balanced offensive attack and stout defense guided the Bemidji State University football team to a 23-6 Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference North victory Saturday against visiting Northern State University. The win makes three straight for the Beavers, improving to 4-3 overall, 4-3 in the NSIC and a perfect 3-0 record in NSIC North play.   BSU Recap | NSU Recap

Minnesota, Crookston (1-6, 0-3 North) at MSU Moorhead (1-6, 1-2 North) - 1 p.m.

Moorhead, Minn. - The Minnesota State University Moorhead football team broke into the win column with a 35-13 win over Minnesota, Crookston in the inaugural game of the Red River Valley Showdown Series Saturday at Alex Nemzek Stadium in Moorhead, Minn. The Dragons used several big second-half plays to help finish off the home victory.  The Dragons hoisted the State Farm Insurance Traveling Trophy in celebration following Saturday's win. Augustana (3-4, 1-2 South) at Upper Iowa (2-5, 0-3 South) - 1 p.m.

Fayette, Iowa - Augustana scored 49 points in the first half on its way to a 66-20 victory over Upper Iowa (2-5 NSIC, 0-3 NSIC South) in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference South Division football action on Saturday afternoon in Fayette, Iowa. Augustana improves to 3-4 on the season and 1-2 in the South  Division snapping a two-game losing streak in the process. The Vikings finished the game with a season-high 650 yards of total offense, the most since 618 yards against SMSU on Sept. 25, 2010. Augie Recap | UIU Recap

St. Cloud State (5-2, 3-0 North) at U-Mary (3-4, 0-3 North) - 1 p.m.

Bismarck, N.D. - St. Cloud State University junior running back Michael Walker (Walworth, Wis.) ran for three touchdowns enroute to the Huskies fourth straight win, 55-13 over the University of Mary in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) play Saturday afternoon at Husky Stadium. St. Cloud State is 5-2 overall and 3-0 in the NSIC North. Mary dropped to 3-4 overall and 0-3 in the North division.  SCSU Recap | U-Mary Recap

#9 Minnesota Duluth (6-1, 2-1 North) at Minot State (1-6, 1-2 North) - 1:30 p.m.

Minot, N.D. - The No. 9 Bulldogs, behind a pair of rushing touchdowns from running backs Brian Lucas and Logan Lauters, overwhelmed Minot State University 44-6 in the initial confrontation between the two clubs.  The victory, which came in front of a sun-splashed crowd of 1,831 at Herb Parker Stadium, pushed UMD to 6-1 on the year and kept the Bulldogs within a game of league-leading Minnesota State  in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference title chase. Southwest Minnesota State (2-5, 1-2 South) at #10 Minnesota State (7-0, 3-0 South) - 2 p.m.

Mankato, Minn. - Minnesota State junior kicker Sam Brockhsus booted a 20-yard field goal in the second overtime to propel the tenth-ranked Mavericks to a 34-31 double-overtime victory over Southwest Minnesota State in front of 3,162 fans in Blakeslee Stadium. The game marked the first overtime game for Minnesota State since it fell to Hillsdale, 27-24 in the NCAA tournament on Nov. 14, 2009. Trailing 24-10 with seven minutes and 36 seconds left in the game Minnesota State junior quarterback Jon Wolf engineered two scoring drives to seal the win. MSU Recap | SMSU Recap


Concordia-St. Paul (2-5, 1-2 South) at Sioux Falls (6-1, 2-1 South) - 6:30 p.m.
USF 31, CU 23
Sioux Falls, S.D. - The University  of Sioux Falls utilized solid second half defense and an effective passing attack to hold on for a 31-23 victory over Concordia University Saturday night at Bob Young Field. Taylor Perkins recorded 305 yards and 4 TDs, while cornerback John Tidwell had a big day on defense with two interceptions including one on the Golden Bears final drive. Entering the game  tied for first in the nation, the Cougars tallied three interceptions against CU to bring their total to 16 on the year. USF improves to 5-1-0 and 2-1-0 in NSIC South play, while CU drops to 2-5-0 (1-2-0, NSIC South).   The loss gives USF six straight wins over Concordia with tonight's meeting being the first since 1983 as it's been over 40 years since Concordia's last win against the Cougars (1971).
