FINAL RESULTS

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – No. 3 Augustana took four matches by decision and two by major decision to secure a 20-15 win over Southwest Minnesota State Friday night in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference wrestling.

Augustana improves to 11-2 (3-1 NSIC).  SMSU moves to 7-5 (1-3 NSIC).

The Vikings earned wins in the opening two bouts as Cody Lensing (125) and Jason Jeremiason (133) collected 3-2 and 4-2 victories, respectively.

Augustana left 141 pounds open, knotting the contest at 6-6.

Nate Herda (149) and Marcus Edgington (157) regained the lead for the Vikings.  Herda saddled SMSU's Codie Lane with a 4-3 loss, while Edgington got a 12-4 win by major decision over Josh Anderson.

SMSU's Jacob Begin beat Bradyn Neises 11-4 at 165 pounds, but Carl Serck answered for the Vikings with a 17-6 win by major decision over Trent Molacek at 174 pounds.

Jayd Docken pushed the Viking lead to 20-9 with his 8-6 triumph over Micah Larson at 184 pounds.

The Vikings dropped the 197- and 285-pound tilts.

Augustana will host Northern State Sunday at 2 p.m.
