BISMARCK, ND – The Winona State volleyball team moved its win streak to 11 after a 3-0 win over the University of Mary Friday in Bismarck, ND. The Warriors claimed the first set 25-22, had a dominating 25-17 win in the second set and closed out the match with a 25-21 win in the third.

The Warriors are now one victory away from the program record for consecutive wins set in 1987. The team can tie the record with a win at Minot State Saturday. Match time is set for 3 pm.
Bekah Saugen led the Warrior offense against the Marauders with 10 kills while Kate Horihan added nine and Katie Froehle recorded eight. Winona State’s play at the net was strong once again, leading Mary in total kills 40-26. The Warrior defense limited the Marauders to a .092 hitting percentage, the sixth opponent to hit less than .100 against WSU this season.
Kaley Jacobson recorded her first double-double of the season with team-highs in both assists (15) digs (11). Maggie Finkel also had ten digs in the Warrior victory.
Winona State is now 12-2 overall on the season and 4-0 in NSIC play.
