Its week five and that means it’s the start of divisional play in the NSIC.  The final seven games of the NSIC schedule will determine who will come away with north and south divisional championships as well as the overall championship.

No. 2 Minnesota State (5-0, 1-0 South) at Concordia-St. Paul (3-2, 0-1 South) - 12 p.m.

MSU 27, CU 7
St. Paul, Minn. -  The No. 2 Minnesota State football team put on another running clinic Saturday afternoon as it tallied 222 yards on the ground, en route to a 27-7 win over the Concordia-St. Paul Golden Bears. With the win, MSU improves to 5-0 on the season and has extended its NSIC winning streak to 16 games dating back to week one of the 2012 season. MSU's fifth win of the season also represents the programs 400th all-time win. With the loss, CU falls to 3-2 on the season.   MSU Recap | CU Recap

No. 18 St. Cloud State (4-1, 0-1 North) at No. 11 Minnesota Duluth (4-1, 1-0 North) - 1 p.m.
No. 11 UMD 34, No. 18 SCSU 7
Duluth, Minn. - The Bulldogs' game plan was to run the football, and run they did, rolling up a season-high 471 yards on their way to a convincing 34-7 Homecoming victory over St. Cloud State University in a battle of Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference North Division frontrunners. UMD's other main objective was to keep Phillip Klaphake in check and the No. 11 Bulldogs held the standout senior Husky quarterback to just 102 passing yards.  UMD Recap | SCSU Recap

Bemidji State (2-3, 0-1 North) at Minnesota Crookston (1-4, 1-0 North) 1 p.m.
UMC 16, BSU 14   
Crookston, Minn. - In the tenth edition of the "Battle for the Hub Cap" between theMinnesota Crookston and the Bemidji State, the Golden Eagles won for the first time with a final score of 16-14. It was a cold, rainy Saturday afternoon at Ed Widseth Field in Crookston, Minn. The game was decided by a safety with 1:25 left in the game. Avery Walker could never get out of the end zone for BSU and was brought down by Tyler Hansen (Jr., DB/P, Morris, Minn./Natural Resources) a yard into the end zone. Wayne State (2-3, 1-0 South) at Augustana (2-3, 0-1 South) - 1 p.m.

Sioux Falls, S.D. - Wayne State used 10 first quarter points and a defense that stopped Augustana three times inside the red zone as Wildcats defeated Augustana College 10-7 Saturday afternoon in Northern Sun Conference football played at Kirkeby-Over Stadium in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.  Both teams are now 2-3 overall and 2-3 in the NSIC while Wayne State posted a fourth straight win over Augustana and fifth victory over the Vikings in the last six years.   WSC Recap | Augie Recap

MSU Moorhead (1-4, 1-0 North) at Northern State (1-4, 0-1 North) - 2:30 p.m.

Aberdeen, S.D - It was a two-point conversion from sophomore quarterback Jake Hodge that put the Minnesota State University Moorhead football team in the lead in the final minutes Saturday against Northern State. It was junior linebacker Nick Seedorff's play in the final seconds that made it stand. Hodge converted a huge two-point conversion to put the Dragons up one point with 4:01 left, and Seedorff's interception of Jared Jacobson in MSUM territory with 46 seconds left sealed a huge 47-46 Dragon win over the Wolves in action Saturday at Clark Swisher Field in Aberdeen, S.D.  MSUM Recap | NSU Recap

Minot State (1-4, 0-1 North) at U-Mary (3-2, 1-0 North) - 2:30 p.m. Highlights
U-Mary 45, MISU 10
Bismarck, N.D. -  A 42-yard touchdown run by Dariouse Gravely started a 38 point first half run by the University of Mary and the Marauders would celebrate a 48-10 homecoming win over Minot State University. The Marauders victory was the 100th career coaching win for Myron Schulz. U-Mary also claimed victory in the first "“The Battle for the Big Lake" traveling trophy game.  U-Mary Recap | MISU Recap

Sioux Falls (3-2, 1-0 South) at Southwest Minnesota State (2-3, 0-1 South) - 6 p.m.
USF 55, SMSU 48
Marshall, Minn. -Luke Papilion broke free for a 17-yard touchdown run with 44 seconds remaining to lift the University of Sioux Falls to a 55-48 victory over Southwest Minnesota State on Saturday night in Marshall. USF improves to 3-2 overall, 1-0 NSIC South, while SMSU drops to 2-3 overall, 0-1 NSIC South. The game was an offensive shootout with the two teams combining for 1,446 yards and 194 offensive plays. SMSU set a school record with 828 yards of total offense – breaking the previous record of 678 set versus Upper Iowa on Sept. 19, 2009. USF Recap | SMSU Recap
 
Upper Iowa (3-2, 0-1 South) at WInona State (3-2, 1-0 South) - 6 p.m.
WSU 49, UIU 32
Winona, Minn. - The Winona State football team used big plays in all three phases of the game to post a 49-32 victory over Upper Iowa in both team's NSIC South opener Saturday in Winona. The Warriors scored three touchdowns of over 30 yards in the passing game, returned an interception for a score and added a blocked punt touchdown while winning their third consecutive game. Quarterback Jack Nelson threw for 333 yards and three touchdowns, hitting Tony Mueller, Cameron Johnson and Alan May for long scoring strikes.  WSU Recap | UIU Recap
