Aberdeen, S.D. - A sharp shooting second half led the Northern State University women's basketball team to their sixth straight NSIC victory. NSU topped south division foe Minnesota State Mankato 79-63 from Wachs Arena, scoring a total of 50 points in the second half. The Wolves improve to 11-2 overall and 7-2 in the league after the win.

Junior Sadie Stotesbery had a season night on the floor playing 32 minutes, while going 5-8 from the floor and 4-4 from the free-throw line, with 14 points and nine rebounds just shy of a double-double.

As a team the Wolves out-rebounded the Mavericks 46-33 and continued to play hard notch defense forcing 15 turnovers. Thirteen total NSU scores came off offensive rebounds, as 30 MSU personal fouls brought the Wolves to the free-throw for a season high 34 points. The posts continued to be aggressive for Northern as Megan Mutchler pulled in 11 rebounds and Rachel Krogman tallied 10 points. As a whole NSU notched six blocks and seven steals in the match-up.
