NSIC Men’s Cross Country Athlete of the Week
Bobby Brockmueller (Sr., Brandon, S.D. / Brandon Valley HS)
Sioux Falls
Bobby Brockmueller finished fourth in a field of 246 to lead No. 17 Sioux Falls to the team title at the
St. Olaf Invite on Saturday. Brockmueller had a time of 25:14.6 as he was one of five USF runners to finish in the top 15 in the 16-team field.

Minnesota State, competing in its first event of 2014, finished seventh at the 16-team St. Olaf Invitational held Saturday in Northfield, Minn. Junior Matt Longen, who placed 28th with a time of 26:50.3, was the top Maverick individual.

St. Cloud State
- The St. Cloud State men’s cross country team opened its 2014 season with an 11th place finish at the St. Olaf Invitational in Northfield, Minn. on Sept. 20.
- SCSU sophomore Chris Caron led the Huskies with a 55th place of 27:43.7 on the 8K course at St. Olaf. Freshman T.J. Schiltz was SCSU’s second top finisher with a 57th place time of 27:51.2.
- SCSU freshmen Matthew Massmann, Cameron Smith and Sebastian Sowada are all graduates of nearby Little Falls High School in Little Falls, Minn.

NSIC Cross Country Championship
NSIC Cross Country teams will compete in various meets throughout the fall with the season culminating in Wayne, Neb. on Saturday, November 8 at the NSIC Cross Country Championships. The NCAA Regional will take place two weeks later on Saturday, November 22 again in Wayne, Neb. The NCAA DII National Cross Country Championships will be held on Saturday, December 6 at E.P. Tom Sawyer Park in Louisville, Ky. in conjunction with the NCAA Fall Sports Festival.
