NSIC Women’s Cross Country Athlete of the Week
Hannah Palmeter (Junior, Bessemer, Mich. /  Wright HS) - Southwest Minnesota State
- Finished fourth at the St. Olaf Invite
- Finished with a time of 22:15.5 in the 6K race
- Second top ten finish of the season
- Finished sixth at the Augustana Twilight earlier this season
-Was an All-American runner at North Iowa Area C.C.
-SMSU finished 15th out of 20 teams at the meet

NSIC Women's Cross Country Team Notes
Augustana
- The Vikings were idle last week
- Augie’s next action will be at the Roy Griak Invitational on Sept. 26 in Falcon Heights, Minnesota

Bemidji State
- The Bemidji State cross country team was free from competition last week
- In their last action, placed sixth at the Randy Smith Invitational Sept. 11 in Moorhead, Minnesota
- Bemidji State’s next action will be at the Roy Griak Invitational on Sept. 26 in Falcon Heights, Minnesota

Concordia-St. Paul
- CSP was idle last week
- CSP’s next action will be at the Roy Griak Invitational on Sept. 26 in Falcon Heights, Minnesota

University of Mary
- U-Mary was idle last week
- The Marauders next compete at the Roy Griak Invitational on Sept. 26 in Falcon Heights, Minnesota

Minnesota Duluth
- UMD took the team title at the 20-team St Olaf College Invitational in Northfield, Minnesota
- Hannah Olson (22:19.2), Breanna Colbenson (22:27.0) and Emilee Trost (22:38.6) placed 5th, 6th and 7th
- UMD won the invite for the third year in a row
- UMD’s next action will be at the Roy Griak Invitational on Sept. 26 in Falcon Heights, Minnesota

Minnesota State
- MSU finished seventh at the 6K St. Olaf Invitational held in in Northfield, Minnesota
- Sophomore Erin Baker was the top Maverick individual, with a time of 23:37.7 placing her 23rd
- MSU’s next action will be at the Roy Griak Invitational on Sept. 26 in Falcon Heights, Minnesota

MSU Moorhead
- The Dragons were idle last week
- MSUM will next compete at the Roy Griak Invitational on Sept. 26 in Falcon Heights, Minnesota

Minot State
- The Beavers was idle last week
- Minot State will compete at the Roy Griak Invitational on Sept. 26 in Falcon Heights, Minnesota

Northern State
- The Wolves were idle last week
- NSU will compete at the Roy Griak Invitational on Sept. 26 in Falcon Heights, Minnesota
- Northern will also host their annual Steps for Shep Gypsy Days race on September 26th

Sioux Falls
- The Cougars finished 11th at the Missouri Southern Stampede
- Jordin Kopplow finished 51st with a time of 18:57.83 in the 5K race
- Next for the Cougars will be the Briar Cliff Invitational on Oct. 10 in McCook Lake, South Dakota

Southwest Minnesota State
- Hannah Palmeter (Jr., Bessemer, Mich.) finished fourth at the St. Olaf Invitational
- Palmeter finished with a time of 22:15.5 in the 6k race
- SMSU finished 15th out of 20 teams at the meet
- SMSU will compete at the Roy Griak Invitational on Sept. 26 in Falcon Heights, Minnesota

St. Cloud State
- SCSU competed at the St. Olaf Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 19
- The Huskies had a ninth place finish among the 20 teams
- Samantha Sunstrom placed 18th in a time of 23:31.1 in the 6K race
- Rachel Sakry finished in the top 50 at the race with her 24:03.2 to place 35th
- St. Cloud State will compete at the Roy Griak Invitational on Sept. 26 in Falcon Heights, Minnesota

Upper Iowa
- UIU finished 12th at the 26th annual Woody Greeno/University of Nebraska Invitational
- Bethany Jacobsen placed 45th in the 6K race with a time of 25:11.8
- The Peacocks will compete at the Roy Griak Invitational on Sept. 26 in Falcon Heights, Minnesota

Wayne State
- The Wildcats were idle last week
- Wayne State will compete at the Roy Griak Invitational on Sept. 26 in Falcon Heights, Minnesota

Winona State
- The Warriors were idle last week
- The Warriors will compete at the Roy Griak Invitational on Sept. 26 in Falcon Heights, Minnesota
