MINOT, N.D. – Second seeded Minnesota State won its fifth NSIC Women’s Soccer Tournament as they defeated fourth seeded Augustana 1-0 at Herb Parker Stadium in Minot, North Dakoa. With the win the Mavericks earn the NSIC’s automatic qualification to the NCAA Central Region Tournament.
Minnesota State's Dakota Wendell scored the lone goal of the match at the 69:41 mark off a loose ball.
Minnesota State will be joined by Harding from the GAC and Central Missouri from the MIAA as automatic qualifiers from the NCAA Central Region. The complete NCAA championship bracket will be announced on Monday, November 7 via a webcast selection show on
www.NCAA.com at 5 p.m. (CT). The regional tournament will begin November 10 on regional campuses.
