NSIC Women's Indoor Track Athlete of the Week
Emi Trost (Jr., Goodhue, Minn. / Cannon Falls HS)
Minnesota Duluth
- Ran a program-best 9:34.09 in the 3,000-meter run at the Opener hosted by St. Scholastica
- The time eclipsed the Burns Wellness Fieldhouse record of 9:48.7 (which she set one year ago)
- Set UMD record by nearly seven seconds, besting the previous mark of 9:40.94 set Jan. 25, 2015 by Samantha Rivard
- Automatically qualified for the NCAA National Championships

- Her mark in the shot was good enough for a NCAA provisional mark

- Morgan Rothschadl raced to a first place finish in the 300 meter hurdles with a time of 46.20

- Vanessa Rae Lopez came within seconds of a BSU record in the mile run in her BSU debut. She finished third with a time of 5:25.2
- Freshman thrower Savanah Olson finished second in the shot put in her collegiate debut, stretching the tape to 42-00.75. She was also 12th in the weight throw (37-06.50) |

She won the 200 meter dash in a time of 25.23 seconds and ranks seconds in the NSIC and third nationally. She was second in the 60 meter hurdles with a mark of 8.70 seconds and ranks fourth nationally and second in the NSIC
- So. Maria Bolibruch won the 60 meter hurdles in 8.66 seconds, an NCAA provisional qualifying time. She ranks second in the nation and in the NSIC
- Making her collegiate debut, Tanesha Davis placed second in the 60 meter dash (7.76 seconds) and third in the 200 meter dash (26.13 seconds)
- So. Kylie Pastian posted a career-best effort in the long jump and placed fourth (5.49 meters) |

- Freshman Caitlin Himes broke the Peacock mark in the shot put, while freshman Kenzie Soeken set a new school record in the triple jump
- Himes broke the shot put record by 7.25' with a throw of 39'-5" (12.01m), set in 2002. The Tipton, Iowa native finished 8th in the event, one spot ahead of teammate Brinn Grunder, who finished with a throw of 38'-7" (11.76m). Shay Lierman placed 17th with a throw of 34'-0" (10.36m), and also placed 13th in the 800 meter run, with a time of 2:41.09
- Soeken shattered the 23-year old Upper Iowa triple jump record by nearly two feet, with a jump of 33'-4.75", set in 1993. The Ely, Iowa product finished 13th overall on Saturday
- Freshman Kortney Lightfoot finished 8th in the 60 meter hurdles with a time of 10.46 seconds. Josie Breitsprecher (1:59.98) finished fifth in the 600 meter, one spot ahead of teammate Gabbie Mohs (2:02.64) |
