Minnesota State Picked in NSIC Outdoor Men’s Track & Field Preseason Coaches’ Poll

Burnsville, Minn. - The Minnesota State University, Mankato Mavericks were the unanimous choice in the 2016 NSIC Men’s Outdoor Track & Field Preseason Coaches’ Poll. The Mavericks garnered all 11 first place votes and 121 points.  Augustana was second with 110 points and the other first place vote (coaches cannot vote for their own team). MSU Moorhead followed in third with 89 points while Sioux Falls and St. Cloud State tied for fourth with 86 points.

The NSIC Outdoor Track and Field Championships are set for May 13-14 at Howard Wood Field in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, hosted by Augustana University.

- Placed fifth in the 110-meter hurdles at the 2015 NCAA Division II Outdoor Championships in a time of 14.00
- 2015 NSIC 110-meter hurdles champion with a NSIC record time of  13.80
- NSIC record time of 7.69 in the 60-meter hurdles at the 2016 NSIC Indoor Championship
- Won the 2016 NCAA Divisionn II Indoor Track and Field Championships in a divison II record time of 7.53
