NSIC Men's Indoor Track & Field Championships Begin Sunday-Monday
The NSIC Men's Indoor Track & Field Championships will kick off Sunday and Monday from Myers Fieldhouse in Mankato, Minnesota with the men's heptathlon starting at 3 p.m. The event will begin on Sunday with the 60m dash followed by the long jump, shot put and high jump.  Events continue Monday morning at 11 a.m. with the 60m hurdles, the pole vault and the 1000 run.   The NSIC Indoor Track & Field Championships will conclude on Friday-Saturday, February 24-25 at Myers Fieldhouse. MSU Moorhead

- Ran an NCAA provisional qualifying time of 4:10.03 in the mile at the NDSU Bison Open
- Adjusted for track size, the time 4:06.88 is the fastest time in the NSIC
- Ranks as the ninth best in the Division II so far this season

- Finished first in the triple jump with an NCAA automatic qualifying jump of 52-1.75 at the Ted Nelson Classic
- The leap is the second best triple jump in Division II this season, behind only his own jump of 53-0.25
- Finished second in the high jump with a leap of 6-10.25 which tied for the eleventh best high jump in Division II
- His high jump was also an NCAA provisional qualifying mark
- Named NSIC Field Athlete of the Week for the second time this season (1/10/17)

- Glen Ellingson hit a provisional mark and finished first in the 3,000-meters with a personal best time

- Anthony Huber took first in the shot put with a personal best mark and finished in sixth in the weight throw

- Caleb Troe gave the Golden Bears another solid distance runner with a seventh place finish in the mile and an 11th place finish in the 3000 meter run as he finished the mile in 4:26.26 and the 3000m in 8:52.89

- Freshman Zach Sweep won the 60-meter hurdles in 8.33 which is third-fastest time in NSIC this season
- Senior Devin Strack was second in the triple jump at 45-8 1/2

- Joel Cartwright knocked eight seconds off his personal best time in the men's 3,000 to take seventh with a time of 8 minutes, 52.81 seconds to move into 10th all-time in school history at that distance
- Chigozie Anaukwu outraced three other Minot State runners to take third in the men’s 60-meter dash, finishing in a time of 7.20 seconds
- Daniel Daffinrud took fourth in the 60 (7.26) and 10th in the 200 (23.30) and was a member of the men’s 4x400 relay team that took sixth overall

-Minot State’s distance medley relay team of Devan Shumway, Daffinrud, Colin Olson and Cartwright was third overall with an 11:00.21
-Minot State’s 4x400-meter relay team of Daffinrud, Chiti Nkhuwa, Olson and Josh Drew finished in sixth place overall

- Lucas Osowski led the throwers finishing tenth in the weight throw, with a school record mark of 16.76m. The previous school record of 16.48m was set by Steve Gough back in 2002. Osowski was also the top Division II finisher in the event

- The Northern State men tallied 23 top-10 finishes from the NDSU Bison Open on Friday and Saturday
- The distance medley relay team of Adam Leach, Romario Thomas, Zachary Ulmer, and Clay Danielson finished second with a time of 10:35.00

- Billy Beseman posted the No. 5 time in USF history in his first collegiate 800-meter run with a 1:55.50
- Zach Lundberg placed eighth in the men’s 3,000-meter run in 8:48.79, ninth-fastest in USF’s record books
